I selected 3 highly desirable niches and created websites with professionally written articles. All this took 3 months. Now it is promotion time and I am feeling overwhelmed just thinking of of the different promotion methods like article submissions, backlinks from directories, social etc etc I am sure you get the point.

Now my dilemma is - should I work simultaneously on promoting all 3 websites. These are all authority sites, each with 30-50 products or pages. My gut says work on one at a time, but the thought of leaving the other two sites idle, just sitting there with good content is a tough one to swallow.

I will appreciate any advice on how to proceed. I am also looking for a good excel template with a list of typical internet marketing tasks and/or promotion types etc.

Thanks in advance

Shiv

I have a list of daily tasks that I can choose 2-5 from a day.

For instance, today I spent an hour posting on Yahoo Answers, an hour of blog commenting and an hour of directory exchanges. I worked about three hours and now my kid is up so I am doing an hour of posting here.

Just realize there are only so many hours in a day and choose a few tasks tomorrow to try. One day at a time.

    Hi Shiv,

Yes, there is a lot to be done to thoroughly promote using all the latest online marketing tools!

But "the longest journey starts with the first step", right? (Lao Tzu)

A recent blog post from Chris Brogan may help you out. It's a great list of social media marketing "to dos" that can help keep you organized and growing your online product presence.
Just Google "19 presence management chores you could do every day" for his helpful list.

Scheduling your day is crucial to get everything done. I put on my calendar, by the hour, what I am going to do on any particular day. Working from home takes dedication and discipline.

You have three websites that need your attention but obviously you can't do all three at the same time. I would suggest that you devote an equal amount of time to each of them through the week. Website #1 could get your attention on Monday and part of Tuesday; website #2 the second part of Tuesday and Wednesday; and then website #3 on Thur and Friday. Of course scheduling specific hours for each day.

    hope this helps :-)

Make the best use of your time. Get a cheap freelancer to help you promote the other website. Remember, spending $30 on a freelancer can always be recovered, but not 30 mins of your precious time!

I agree, using freelance writers can save you alot of time. I would try to work on each nich individually and not spread yourself too thin.
