OptimizePress 2.0 Membership Site

Hi guys,

I'm currently creating content for a membership site and want advice on a platform. I already own OptimizePress 2.0 and it seems to have everything I need to create a decent site but I'm worried about security.

I've searched the forums and found some posters saying they use OP for the site itself but then use other plugins for security. Is OP2 really that bad security wise? I've looked through the security features, they look pretty much the same as some of the other plugins out there? Am I looking at old posts and missed a recent update with newly added OP security features?

Any help appreciated.

    OptimizeMember - the membership component that comes bundled with OptimizePress - is actually quite decent for simple sites.

    If you plan to build out an extensive membership site with many levels and many conditional offers that would require showing different content and marketing materials to folks based on various parameters (account status, number of days has been a member, which products he owns, etc.), then you'd want to look into either DAP or MemberMouse. Both are excellent.

    Another 'all-in-one' solution that I've been working a lot with lately is Zaxaa (www.zaxaa.com) and so far I'm extremely impressed with their platform.

    • Optimize Press 2 Membership plugin is S2 Member that has been modified and while I have not used it have heard its pretty good.

      I use Optimize Press 2 for look and feel and then Digital Access Pass for protection. I like DAP because it is an actual application that sits at the root of your domain and then a plugin (In wordpress) that interacts with the software. Always seemed to be a little better than some of the other plugins.

      A lot of people who use infusionsoft or Ontraport use there system for checkout and protection as well.
