How much would this be worth?

Dear Warriors,

I have a question for you.

In the past, I've sold a lot of new websites on eBay for very high prices (for a new website). They were selling for $1000 - $4000, depending on design. They were simple websites, selling 10 products.

Anyways, I have a passion for creating new businesses and I helped quiet a few people by now to turn their ideas into fully-operational online businesses.

A lot of times, I come across some niche (or sub-niche) and think: "Oh, I can create a very nice website, write an info product for this and write a quick marketing guide and it will succeed".

I've done this for myself and every time it worked. But I am not a big fan of managing these websites, customers, etc... And it gets boring too.

So, is there a market for NEW UNIQUE online businesses? Let's say it is a website, info product, sales funnel, great sales copy? Everything is unique and original, no cookie cutters here.

And if yes, how would would approximately a ready system could be sold for?

I can't do all of that for like $500. A project like this would be at least a month of work.

I know price greatly depends on a niche and such.

But let's say something for a dating niche. For example, a website that sells a guide on "How To Get A Girlfriend In Three Weeks Or Less - For A VERY Shy Guy!", it is 50 - 70 page guide sold for $29.95, subscription to newsletter with free report, very nice professional design, excellent sales copy, etc.

Could these systems be realistically sold for $3000.00+? If yes, how?

I was trying to do a research and it seems like a lot of people want established websites with proof of income. And I come across very questionable proofs of income which I personally, would not even trust.

But then someone has a great new website and it gets sold for pennies.

One thing I want to add is that with every sale, I would also include a custom marketing guide to increase value and most importantly, help that person with their new business.

Thank you for help in advance, I am seriously looking forward to kick this in.

Absolutely these types of done for you funnels can be sold and there is a market for them. But yes, as you mentioned, proof is going to play a big part in people trusting you to setup the funnel for them in the first place. So if you have examples of past products you created and the sales you were able to make from those products, this will help people make the decision.

But one thing you need to keep in mind is the type of objection that will be brewing in most people's heads when they see an offer like this -- and it's something I quite often think also. If these funnels he is setting up can make all this money, why then is he selling them and not just implementing and selling the products himself.

You may have your reasons for doing so... and that's cool. I am just telling you that is one of the biggest objections you will get and so you need to address that in your sales copy.

      .
I still can't figure out why I would not build them for myself and just let it be. I don't know, it feels sort of stagnant.

I do have 2 online businesses this way, one in psychic and one in metaphysical niche.

And obviously, I do have a proof of income.

When I think back, what made me happy was when I was transferring these businesses to new owners knowing they got a quality product. Maybe it is not just about money... I feel it is more of a passion.

To me, creating these businesses is creativity. Marketing them is more of a boring repetition.

  • My gut feeling is the majority of people will look to get this for cheap, the questions is if the 1% smart people will be enough to pay the high prices. The best is to test it.

Not sure if you'll get someone to pay you $3,000 there are same services out there that is only charging $500 or less for it.

Maybe if you got track record, good testimonial and you can prove that $3,000 is a good investment vs the profit that they will be getting.

It's all about marketing so I guess you should check which Price Point will work for your experience and resources.

I'm not sure about $3K+. Several years ago, there was a rash of these being sold. They were really well designed. Honestly, the ebooks were a bit lame. Nothing to brag about. Very basic. They sold from $1,200K to $2K mostly. They went very fast. That was also the time when most well designed new, startup sites on Flippa sold very fast. Many of mine sold for the BIN within minutes of me listing them.

Then the trend stopped as quick as it started and startup sites on Flippa haven't been nearly as popular as they were since, nor have they (for the most part) sold for as much as they used to. There are exceptions to every rule, so I'm sure somebody is still making money from them.

I noticed that but I think its down to people getting wise to the real value of a new site coupled with seeing the same site with a different template and domain being sold again and again.

I have noticed just last month there have been at least 10 sites from the same seller that are exactly the same just on a different domain and these are not selling because they have a reserve that is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to high. Also they are just WP sites so nothing special, a unique site thats hand coded will be more valuable to seasoned buyers.

There's a ton of sellers on Flippa selling cookie cutter sites. Change up the template a bit, buy a new domain and duplicate it over and over again. For awhile a lot of them were "traffic" selling sites. Buyers eventually caught on to the fact that no one was buying their "traffic" and there were a million of these sites selling the same "traffic."

Then there's the social media sites that sell FB likes, Twitter and Google + followers, etc. There's a million of them. There's a few other categories that got hit real hard. Best way to see that is to look at the buyer's profile and check out all of the sites they have sold or listed.

If you could create a website with a fully built out funnel... then yes, that's worth good money. But if you tested that funnel... and you got a few sales and the conversions were good... it would probably be worth 10 times MORE money. Check out Flippa.com.

    Another direction.

You've already received some great advice here, so I won't reiterate it. Instead, you could consider selling authority sites (or potential authority sites). Research the market, put together a sales page or WSO, and people can pay you to create them based on certain features: size, content, seo, domain. There's a market for this and you stand more chance of getting repeat business, regular clients.

I'm building an entire funnel right now that I know will make money, I've done the research. I intend to try to sell it.

I really enjoy the "building." Once it's done I want to make another one. It's taken a while (friends have been saying it for a couple years) to realize that's what I should be doing.

So, that's why I would sell a profitable sales funnel vs promoting it myself.

One of the ways to boost a site + product value is to sell the product on forums then sell the site + product when the sales start to fall but there is still room for more sales.

This model does work as you have income proof and there is still opportunity to sell more.

There is a warrior who does this very profitably.
