So, I have been here coming up to two weeks, and during that time, I have really learnt a lot about IM.

I am about to start list-building. I have my lead page set up, am about to do my AR sequence and will be pushing the page out in the new next few days. I was wondering what the best quality traffic sources are? I have used FB ads in the past which was ok, but I am open to exploring more. My market is Small Businesses. I know that this question has probably been asked a lot, but hey, I figured there was no harm in asking again.

Thanks!

solo ads is one of the best traffic sources you can use,....you can search on google for solo ads and choose between a lot of great offers.....

and i also think that any paid traffic source will make fast and great results,...it's depend on your budget.....if you pay more, you will get more

No such thing as a "best" traffic source. It varies for everyone.

It depends. You didn't mention if you were asking for paid or free, but both will work quite well. Just keep in mind that if you decide to go the free route it will take longer to build the traffic up.

Those are two good sources. You can rank with YouTube pretty quickly if you do proper seo on your videos. Another one to look at is also forum marketing.

I personally like solo ads and media buys for paid traffic. Facebook can work too if you know how to do it right.

Organic traffic if you can get it is tier 1 traffic, as is Google ppc traffic. Everything falls below these 2 types of traffic.

About "best traffic sources", your question depends on a niche which you get involved.

Solo ads are great for quick quality traffic but you need to make sure the seller is reputable. If you have the money, buy small solo ad's (50 to 100 clicks) from different sellers and if the results are good than scale up with them. If the results are not so good try other sellers.

There are two key steps to successful solos. One is: track everything. Keep an excel file with every solo provider you have used and track the cost, the number of clicks, the number of subscribers and how responsive they are when it comes to opening and acting on emails you send.

The second is: never go the cheapest route. The cheaper the clicks are the lower the quality of subscriber. If you are only split testing a squeeze page than cheap is ok because it will give you quick results. But if you want to build a list that opens your emails and is willing to take out their wallet you only want to pay for top tier clicks.

You may have a problem finding solo ads in certain niches, especially if it is a small niche. If you cannot find a solo seller in your niche you can always contact product creators in your niche and ask if you could pay them to send out a solo ad for you.

Great advice here. As for chasing free traffic, don't do it. This only hurt your business, if you can say you have a business when you chase everything for free. I know because it's how I got started, made thousands of dollars with article marketing, seo, affiliate blogs.

First, it's not free for two reasons:

The first is you pay with your time.
The second is that once you see the money coming in from free traffic, you will want to scale and outsource.

"Free traffic" is just a powerful word that sell. People will buy "free traffic" products all day long.

Anyway, you have a business: invest, but you need to master ONE traffic source at a time. Master it, then you can explore other ways of getting traffic to your offers.

I agree you do not need to waste money on a website starting out, espescially depending on what you are marketing. Several good answers on here. It is good to be different and do things no one else is doing if possible. One tip I have is to start with lower value items. People are much more likely to buy something 20 dollars over 2000. Diversity of course is fine, but most of my sales lately have been items under 50 dollars.

    HI LizFish,

The best source of traffic really depends on your niche and your situation.

If you are using a freebie, we commonly use Facebook ads to drive people in our target market to our sales page. Facebook is great for giving away a freebie and getting people to sign up to your list; people go to Facebook to relax, and are more likely to opt-into a freebie, rather than buy a product.

You also have free sources of traffic such as SEO, putting an opt-in box on your site for the freebie, or doing article syndication and leaving your link at the bottom.

One great source of traffic for us is solo ads. You buy an ad to send out to somebody else's list, and these ads are great for getting people to opt-into your list, as they are unlikely to buy on the first email.

The problem with solo ads is finding vendors with lists who are reputable. You normally have to find out who the reputable vendors are by word of mouth.

We have been using a fantastic site for solo ads which has a lot of reputable vendors on there. They are also rated and you can see how many people have used them with success on the site. It has saved us HOURS of time finding out who the reputable vendors are online, so that we can put in an ad to their list.

We have found that this site is also very good value. It also has an amazing search feature so that you can pick which day you want the ad to go out on, and how many clicks you would like, for what budget, and it will automatically suggest the best vendors.

Check the site out here - it really is a great source of traffic to get people onto our list, and buying our products:

    Hi,

For list building I would suggest go for paid traffic.

Solo Ads are good but you need to start small first.

Also you need to optimize your funnel for maximum results.

Plus you need to match up your offers to the right traffic that
actually wants and needs your information.

So you need to ask any solo ad vendor you come across some key questions
first before you buy any traffic packages from them.

Show them your set up and ask them if this would be a good fit for
    their lists.

Any good, solid and reputable vendor will only be glad to help you out
    in that department.

    Solo Ads aren't a given.

YOU must do your homework first and be willing to INVEST
some money and lose some money first whilst your set up and
choice of sellers improves along the way.

You need to first decide the type of traffic method, you want to go for. Paid or Free.

If you opt for the choice of free traffic, that means you will need to trade your time for you to start seeing results and the result is not instantaneous but with time, the traffic will begin to flow but with the paid traffic method, you need to spend your money and split test your funnel for optimal conversion. There is great tendency to lose money and not get results when it is not properly done.

For Free traffic method, depending on what I intend achieving, I utilize forum posting, blog commenting and youtube videos.

Forums, blogs and videos are some of the free ways you can get quick and fast traffic. The traffic can be directed to anywhere you want.

      Forum Posting
      • Do a Google search for your niche forum.
      • Get about 2 or 3 that permits links in signatures and contain active users.
      • Check out the members online statistics
      • The number of Discussions, Threads and Replies will indicate the level of participation the forum receives.
      • When was the last post made. If the last post is beyond a week. Then take a stroll
      • Read forum rules to get acquainted with how each forum works. It varies from forum to forum
      • Stick to 2 or 3 forums to prevent spreading yourself too thin and to avoid burn out
      • Post and keep on posting.
      • Offer useful comments and contributions. Offer value on the forum
      • Search the forum using your related keywords.
      • Build an online credibility and reputation for yourself within a sub forum.
      • When you offer useful comment comments and they like it, they will naturally click the link in your signature.
      • Random posting on forum is just a waste of time. You need to be committed to it.
      • Avoid short and one line responses.
      • Once in a while, if you have useful information that you want to share, then start a thread.

      Youtube

It is another way of getting consistent and free traffic back to your site. You can either decide to brand your name or your site or both of them using youtube.
      • Create a channel.
      • Do a research on keywords to target low competition keywords to make it easier for you to rank.
      • Type your keyword in the search bar to discover the type of content for your audience wants and note how the titles are crafted.
      • Draw a schedule on how often you will be uploading your videos.
      • Create great videos that will be of benefit to people.
      • Ensure that the first 150 words of your description are well crafted. This is what will show in the search listings.
      • Start the description with your main KW and the url to your site. Ensure the url is clickable by adding h ttp://.
      • Add your channel at the end of your description. This tells google that all videos with that url in the description belongs together.
      • At the end of the video, include a strong call to action that will tell people what to do.

      For Paid Traffic
Personally, the best choice for me is PPC and Solo Ads
You need to know how to write compelling ads.
It is better to direct the traffic to a squeeze page for them to optin into our list

There are 2 types of traffic as in Free and Paid.

For free ones, you can do forum posting in sites like this but related to your niche.

You can also do article marketing, blog commenting, blogging, PDF documents submissions and writing press releases.

You can also post videos on Youtube.

Or joining Facebook groups and finding Facebook fanpages related to your niche before connecting to the people there.

For paid ones, I recommend Facebook advertising and solo ads.

But because I am more towards free traffic, you might want to get advice from someone more experienced if you want paid ones.

I will say there are pros and cons of each.

Free traffic takes time while paid traffic can get you results fast but costs you money.

I get 3x, 4 and 5x ROI over at bing. If you know how to do ppc then its much cheaper and better I think than solo ads but solo ads are a great way to get some fast leads to your capture page.

If your outside of the IM niche solo ads still work but it a little more or a challenge to find list owners who will mail for you.

One more way I'll mention is using a popular or high traffic youtube video or account. Just go find a video that gets a lot of views that is in your market of course and see if they are advertising anything. If not contact the owner and offer them a little money and usually its pretty easy to find somebody who will add your link in their description to the video or you can just buy their whole youtube account outright.
