Something nobody mentions...

Just had a thought..

Been reading countless articles regarding affiliate marketing lately and going through so many money making strategies but everyone fails to mention one thing: taxes.

How are taxes calculated here?

I live in Europe, how would my tax situation look like if I promote American products?

Best,
Karl

Better you consult with a tax consultant or tax lawyer.

Convert them back to your currency and when it lands in your pocket you calculate the tax there.

    No one mentions taxes because:

    a) the tax laws are different for all countries
    b) we are not tax professionals

Things such as legal and financial questions should not be something you seek advice for on a forum. These are important parts of your business that you should be speaking to professionals about.

Go and chat with a local accountant who is experienced in online businesses.

Not only are tax laws different in every country, but in the U.S. at least, your business tax will vary greatly depending upon the structure you choose for your business i.e. corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, Sub S corp, etc.

Most business owners prefer to deal with how to spend their money after it is made - not always the best planning strategy. Certainly tax issues are a part of every business; however, this forum is about making money and not so much about where it is spent.

Unfortunately most people will not be able to answer this on here, this will vary by country/region. You're best to speak with an accountant. For most, I believe they would just explain the situation with an accountant and hand over all the details (money in, money out)

Okay! Let me understand this one here:
You Live in Europe and, your selling an American Product or Products Right.
My question is do you have an American Account in your Name or Business Name?
Do you have a P.O. Box in America?
I guest my Question is what's in your name that ties you too the U.S.A. besides the product your selling?

most people don't make enough money online to worry about taxes! You have a very good question. I live in the states and I take 30% of all my deposites and set it in the tax account.

What is cool is I am able to write a lot of things off that I use in my business. Even part of my mortgage. I had to take a ride the other day to go set some more paper and its around half hour drive to the mall. I stopped got some gas and had lunch at one of my favorite spots and the cool part is I can write part of that off as well. It's funny but taxes are kinda fun when you find all the things the goverment gives you for having a business.
