Hi guys,
I am completely new to affiliate marketing and I intend to start promoting clickbank products within a day or two. Can you guys kindly help with the following questions:
1) Which niche is good for now?
2) How exactly should my site be (examples are invited) with how many pages and stuff? How much might the site making cost?

I suggest you learn how to build a list and do email marketing first. If you don't know list building then it is much harder to make any money as an affiliate.

Hey. I've tried marketing clickbank products before but my advice would be to find a product that you would use yourself then make a review blog to list all of the pros and cons of it. You may think that listing the cons of a product can hurt the sales but most people will appreciate the fact that you are being honest with them instead of just saying how it's the best product in the world in order to get a sale. If you are considering a review blog, I would just do my best to add to it every few days and in 3-6 months you will probably start getting some decent organic traffic. The thing I didn't like about clickbank is that you have to make 5 sales in order to get your 1st payment plus you'll probably get alot of chargebacks unless you have a really good product.

You are in for a hell of a ride.

The best thing is to learn how to create IM related products and promote them. The objective is to build a list of existing customers or potential customers. It is with this list that you would eventually make money in affiliate marketing.

To learn how to do this, may I suggest that you find a mentor and work closely with him / her. It may cost you some money initially but you would shorten the learning curve. You can search for 'mentors' / 'coaches' on WF.

    All the best to you.

    Hi,

You should first build a list of buyers, so you can promote products to them.
it's your starting point for now, so try to learn how to create a product and build a list with that product ( like give it away in exchange for emails ), you can find more help by buying some wso in the creating a list niche.

Akif, you could make your own site for free, which is how you should start. That is the only way you are going to know how to put all the pieces together in the future. You will have expenses for your hosting, a domain name, and an autoresponder, but you can do all of those for about $20 to get started and about $30 per month.

I'd suggest entering a niche you will enjoy producing content for. You are going to need to pound out a ton of blog posts, videos, and other content to get traffic, unless you plan to spend money to get traffic.

Start by looking at niches you love, and see if there is good products, and a large enough buying market to pursue. Even though many people will tell you weight loss and "make money" are saturated, remember you are only trying to slice off a tiny piece of that pie, not the entire pie.

    1) Which niche is good for now?
All niches are good. You just need to find the right way to promote. You also have to be passionate about the niche.

    2) How exactly should my site be (examples are invited) with how many pages and stuff? How much might the site making cost?
You can create a blog, all you need is a domain + hosting. Install wordpress for free, invest into a professional theme.

Your blog is like a gateway for readers to come into and directed to your sales funnel.

Yes all / any niches will work fine if you are reaching the correct targets.

    >>Get the domain, set up a wordpress site, get an sutorepsonder, build a list, offer value and good content.

*Market various related products, not just one.
*Use various promotion methods, social media, solo ads, etc
*Make godd use of this forum to resarch anything related to IM.
*Stay focused on your task, it is easy to get distracted.

      Akif,

I would suggest you start at the beginning. Really!

Well-meaning posters giving you advice, but most ignores the fact that you have to find demand in the marketplace before you push forward with a web site, product, or anything else.

If you don't know where buyer demand is . . . how are you going to "choose" a product to sell? So many newbies simply "pick" a product (like at Clickbank), try to sell it, and wonder why they can't.

Start at the beginning. Find an unmet need - something people are asking for - a problem where you can provide a solution - or a desire that people have which is not being met. Drill down to a place where all your prospects are asking for the same thing. It's called targeting.

I'm not trying to disparage the advice of others but I can tell you that the very first step in finding a profitable way to begin a business is to enter a market where there is strong demand and needs that are not being met.

Hey guys. I'm new to affiliate marketing (but not new to marketing) and have read several good books and numerous web articles on the topic. I'm at the point now where I've done all the research, and about to start as an affiliate.

What I need to know are the first steps involved as an affiliate. I know I have to start a blog on a specific niche subject (like golf, fitness etc)-- I understand the marketing side of things and I know how e-commerce works, but I have never done affiliate marketing or blogging.

There are a few affiliate programs I am interested in, that say on their forms that I need to give them my link. (to my blog or site so they can review it)

What I'm trying to figure out here, is what type of content should I have on my site before I apply for affiliate programs? (Assuming that my blog is not part of an affiliate program when I join the first one. I noticed some merchants have traffic requirements)

For example, if I want to promote golf products, should I just write articles about golf, like a news feed, and then join affiliate programs that promote golf products? What does blog look like before it joins an affiliate program? Just like every other blog? Does it have a marketing focus?

What types of affiliate blog/websites are there? (reviews and what else?)

Can I include affiliate links to more than one merchant? (if it fits with my website content?) or will I get complaints from affiliate managers for including competition?
