I found $10 on the street. How should I invest it?

Buy a domain. Either flip it to a local business or use it to start a new cash cow.

Buy 10 $1 rain ponchos at the dollar store and sell them by the subway (or anywhere lots of people come and go) for $3 each during the next downpour.

My best advice is to:

1. Invest in the $1 Aweber trial. You'll need a way to keep in touch with your competitors.
2. Invest in the $1.99 hosting offer in the web hosting subforum. You'll need a website to get everything going the right direction.

Now you have $7.01 left.

3. Install a Wordpress blog. This will make it easy to write the articles you need to write. This is free.
4. Create a FB fan page. Social media is one of the best ways to start marketing. This is free.
5. Go to Fiverr and get the 600 likes for $5 gig.
6. Now start copying and pasting articles out of EZArticles onto your blog. This will make it easy to get the blog up fast.
7. Sign up for PayPal to be able to get access to your money.
8. Write a sales letter telling people that you can help them get out of their financial crisis pretty darn quickly. Make the price $20. Hey! - You've doubled your money already!!!
9. Copy this forum post verbatim and put it in a PDF file. Stick it behind your sales letter and you'll be raring to go.
10. Wait for the customers to start rolling in from your FB marketing.

Oh and there is a #11.

11. Once you get things going and have made at least $80 (4 times your initial money) spend $20 for a WSO ad and watch things go from simmer to boiling!!!

- Buy Logo's on Fiverr. You can get 2 for $5 so that makes it 4 differently designed logo's for $10. Use something like 'You Company' as the text in the logo (make sure you own the rights).
Head over to 99Designs.com and put your Logo designs for sale. People buy Logo's for upto $100 in 99 Designs and if they don't want the same design to be used over and over again, they pay a premium $250 for it.

- Buy a domain from GoDaddy. You can get a domain for upto $0.99 via coupons (YES! I have bought at this price). Get free hosting from Atspace.com (They offer free hosting for 1 domain). Subscribe to MailChimp which is free for 2000 subscribers and/or 12K Emails/month. Use different techniques to drive free traffic and build a list.

- Buy a Geo Domain i.e Boston + Resturants .com (MAKE SURE IT's A .COM) and cold E-mail restaurants in boston regarding the sale of this domain. You can get Email addresses via Manta, YP, Google etc. If you use GoDaddy coupon, you can get 3-4 domain for $10.

I'm sure there are more ways but these come to my mind at this moment. I'm sick of seeing comments like 'Get a sandwitch' or 'Buy a nice meal' - It's possible to make a profit, even from $3, but given the correct advice.

Agreed, did it make you happy when you found it? Multiply that happiness and make it last forever - here's how...

Pay it forward- give it to someone else who needs it more. It's only $10 so after you buy your domain or "invest" it it'll be gone and so will the energy of the "find". Find someone who's down on their luck who would really appreciate $10, give it to them personally, shake their hand and tell them that they "never know what's just around the corner" and make them happier than you were when you found it. That way it'll multiple the happiness and pay (internal) dividends for the rest of your life.

TIP: Don't tell anyone that you did it or it will instantly lose it's power on you the moment you share it because you're showing off - big mistake. This is not about you. That $10 has much more power than you think - especially when you give it personally to someone who has nothing. Just smile to yourself while brushing your teeth - you'll know.

For websites, you can make do with a free blog like Blogger and Wix.

But for autoresponder, you need a reliable service like Aweber so that you can send emails and connect with your prospects and customers without giving them the impression that you are spamming them.

these ads are silly.

I know 2 other warriors with $200k dollar a month companies.

1) physical product and PPC

2) The other one does better, just hosting, domain, list building, sales funnel. Seminars. (is a warrior in here and does $250,000 USD sales a month)

Don't invest what is not yours. Give it away in charity to someone needy. No matter how desperate your financial situation seems, there are thousands of people who are much more needy than us who do not have even the basic necessities of life.

I know this sounds stupid, but if you can find the owner of that $10 you should return it to them. If not possible, then it belongs to the street-- not to you. This is just another way of looking at things. Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers as they say. I just don't want to be at the losing-weeping end that is why I don't go by this philosophy.

Now, if indeed I made it a habit to go out of my way to search whole streets for loose change and dropped bills then I deserve it. It was lying around for a reason, that money was meant for me because looking for left behind money is how I make a living.

This may be peanuts-$10. Add another six zeroes after that and you get a travesty. You say, "but it was just left on the street..." Do not let them question your actions. You have to earn it. You have to OWN it.

Get a list of ideas, see what is feasible and can make a difference. Use the $10 to invite two friends (an investor and another entrepreneur maybe) for coffee, and discuss your idea. Start off your business right there. That would be the best way to utilize it.

Cheeseburger and beer would be my choice.

$10 is a tiny amount of money,hence easily squandered,so I would be looking for a GUARANTEED way to multiply that seed money into a meaningful sum.Most of the ideas so far would be worthless,as you'd run into cashflow problems.my solution would be to buy secondhand books and sell them on Amazon.Why? I can easily buy 10 -20 books for $10,while knowing how much profit I can make and how quickly they will sell,BEFORE I risk any money,then I'd turn that $10 into $100 in the span of a couple of weeks,get paid by Amazon,reinvest that $100 and turn it into $1000 over the next few weeks,then use some of it to purchase the tools I needed,say an autoresponder,hosting,domains,traffic etc and get a product created and launched.
