Forum posting/crawling Software - No spam

Hi

I am wondering if there is any software available that will scrape forums. For example if you put in keywords of your niche - it then crawls forums and comes back with results of people asking particular question. This way, you are able to then go through and answer them and perhaps, if appropriate, offer a freebie or your product.

I have done some research and have only found programs which spam forums so as to create backlinks. This is not what I am after.

If there isn't anything like this on the market, then is this something that you feel would fill a need?

Thanks

Kate

You can try Google alerts . But if you are planning to make software like this then I guess there is a market for it.

Forums have a built-in search function (i.e., search.php) which accepts keywords and other options as arguments. Results are displayed as topics that contain the keywords in the title or message body.

ok, but how about something that can bring up threads and posts with relevant keywords for many forums at once?

I would +1 this idea about using Google alerts, but how do you set it so that it only shows results from forums and not blogs and sites?

Scrapebox might help you with crawling and harvesting the URL's you're looking for, but then you may want to manually setup accounts on those forums and post your response so it may not be "fully automated".

I have scrapebox. I find it a nightmare. I have looked at Xrumer too, it seems to be able to bypass the account set up process etc - but the price is quite hefty.

Do that here and you will get banned. Self promotion, offering a freebie or your product here is not allowed. You can advertise in the paid advertising forums here only.

I am not looking at doing that here. I am aware of the terms and conditions of the Warrior Forum.

Thanks for the heads up though

Has anyone heard of CrowdForce Lite. That appears to do what I require however it seems to be unavailable.

Kate, this will do what you want --> vBulletin to Wordpress Importer (no affiliation).

Like others have said (above) you might want to make sure what you're doing is cool with the forum owners.

      Hey fellow Aussie!

Thanks for the tip. I understand what the others are saying and appreciate it. I certainly do not want to go outside the terms and conditions of the forums. Initially, what I am wanting to do is to give some value to the members of the forums in a particular Niche. I still believe you can get some good free traffic from forums. My aim is not to go outside the forum rules or bombard them with spammy content.

I really want to ascertain whether or not there is something out there which will save me from doing the long haul searching and if not, is there an opportunity to create and market a product which will fulfil this need.

I have looked at Xrumer, which is quite pricey, and also Crowdfrorce Lite, which is unavailable.

I want to use or create this for good - not evil

Don't do it. It is not worth it. Rather read the posts and get involved in the conversations and add real value

That is what she wants to do. But she wants to be able to find many forums in her niche and relevant threads without doing it all manually.

She wants to automate the forum and thread finding process, not the posting process.

You can't read posts and get involved with the conversation until you find a thread
