Traffic pros - how CB hops don't show as traffic?

Hey there

I've checked my CB stats for the last few weeks and where I have a steady 20 - 30 hops a day to my offer I suddenly got in a period of about 2 - 3 weeks the double of Hops.

We had no significant changes in sales so I was a bit surprised to see that spike.

But now comes the funny part.

In my Analytic s report is NO traffic changes at all in the period where Clickbank reported spike in clicks.

That was in the very beginning of August.

Did you noticed any hiccup in CB reporting during this period or what could be the reason for that discrepancy?

    For about a week I had hundreds of hops from sites I haven't promoted in years, from sites that no longer exist.

    CB supports response was some weak, "Maybe they magically became active somehow."

    A couple days later it stopped and went back to normal. I think they were working on their analytics.
