Here is a question and a list that will hopefully help others.

Have any of you'll had positive / negative experiences with support desk software / service?

Here are some I have accumulated in my bookmarks and now that I need to get started using them because business is growing which ones would you'll recommend based on your experience?

I have seen most IMers use zendesk. I think theres trillio ? / trillo ? as well but zen desk seems to be the most common one.

I think ZohoMail also has a free support desk service for us but has anyone use that?

I don't necessarily want the cheapest but the best one based on other WF members reviews.

Hope the list above helps. Of course the thread itself will help others looking for an answer but the list is a good way to window shop.

    The list includes different types of customer interaction software - help desk, live chat and feedback tools..

    Also trello is a project management tool...Zendesk and HelpScout are help desk softwares and others in list are mostly live chat softwares

    I guess you should first define the business requirements and then go about selecting the softwares.. Help desk softwares helps to reply to customer queries coming from web chat, email, phone and social media into a centralised ticketing system. Help desk is an effective tool for customer management which provides multi-channel support and easily integrate with other apps for live chat ,feedback, CRM..

    Happyfox, Groovehq, teamsupport are also options for helpdesk softwares..

    I haven't personally used ZenDesk, however as you mentioned...

    Lots of other marketers use it, and it's great to use from the customer perspective
