Hi!

I have several videos I don't want to put on youtube or other video library, but I do want to host it to improve my sites speed (I get lots of visitors watching the videos), where would you recommend me to store them?

Thanks!!

I also started looking at video sites to store my videos (with restricted access for members of my list, etc.)

    Screencast.com looks interesting.

    Any experiences?

You can go with Amazon Storage Service at Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3)

Most internet gurus are using their service to store videos and audios. No monthly fee and just pay when you're using.

    I hope this help.

I'd recommend Amazon S3 too. It's not the best system to get to grips with when you start out, but once you do, you probably would never switch to anything else.

And of course, you'll have superb reliability with evertything you host there.

If you decide to go with Amazon S3, I'd suggest you get "Bucket Explorer" to use with it. It gives you a much simpler FTP-style interface to manage all your videos. I think it costs 20 or 30 dollars...

I have found my answer at Amazon Simple Storage Service, or simply S3.
    Amazon Web Services

When I first tried it out I thought the technical aspects were over my head. Then I found the Firefox plugin that makes it super-simple.

S3 is a paid service but is really cheap. I don't think you can go wrong with this.

    Hope this helps!

Amazon S3 and use S3Fox plugin for Firefox to do your FTP-style uploading and management. Then, get their new Cloudfront for distribution (also cheap - about 1o cents per GB) as this makes loading very fast.

Kevin turned me on to cloudfront a few days ago- its really good. You'll see much faster downloads. If you are using S3, you should be using this too.

          Hi,

Ok, just signed up to Amazons service, and uploading my first file with the FF plugin...
I registered to cloudfront, will it manage the transfers or I need to setup something? Thanks...

I'd highly encourage using EZS3.com to manage your Amazon s3 files.

No affiliate connection, but anyone who uses S3 will tell you two things- it's a great service, but not really intuitive to start using.

If you don't want to drop the $, the next best thing is the S3 Organizer Add-On for Firefox.
