Best Way To Market My Website--Help Needed!

Hello Warriors,

So I recently started a new website, called Animation Creationz, where users can upload their animated films and videos and get paid $0.03/view for this videos. In turn, users can buy credits for $0.05/credit to watch videos (1 credit to watch a video).

I got the idea from researching how to make money with animated shorts and films, and found an article written saying that it would be a good idea to have a website where users who upload videos can get paid per view.

Now, Youtube Partnership is the obvious answer, however users only get paid around $800-$1000/million views on Youtube, where on my site, users can get paid $30,000/million views!

So far, I only have two members, and two uploaded videos.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with ideas for marketing and building my user base? I really believe this could be a big and useful website, but I'm having trouble getting users.

So far I've been doing PPC campaigns and building a Facebook fan page and Twitter profile.

Any other ideas or help?

    Facebook fanpage is good. Facebook ads is another alternative. It is paid advertising, but your audience can be targeted and you can tweak your ads until they are cost affective. The idea is to tweak them until they pay for themselves and eventually turn a profit.

    Why would someone pay to watch a video when there is a YouTube and you can watch any video for free?

    It does not seem viable to me - but, I would like to hear how you think it will work.

    As far as how to get more people - you need to go where your customers are. You'll need the animators...so however you wish to reach them, and then you'll need the viewers...so people who love animation so much that they're willing to pay to watch an animation (I think this customer will be near impossible...but, maybe there is a market out there)

      Thank you for your feedback. I agree that my biggest obstacle will be getting people to pay for content that is usually free. However, I'm thinking that people will feel an added value that they are helping to directly support fellow animators and artists. Also I feel like the $0.05 for each video is a low price point, so hopefully it won't be very off-putting.

      I'm also thinking of possibly adding exclusive content from the animators once I can get more of them, so that it would be worth spending the $0.05 to view something that is exclusive and not found elsewhere.

      I did contact several animators from Youtube, but haven't gotten any responses. I'll have to keep trying and keep staying active on animation forums.

    Above all you need real people involved in your site. People you can talk to and ask their feedback. People that you give a reason to come back and they actually come back. Cross this bridge with a small group first before you pour money into advertisng.

    Facebook is a good source. You can also include a referral system to get more users.
