I got my first product approved by Clickbank. Now what?

Hello everyone,

My name is Murielle and I'm a newbie here.

I have some experience with internet marketing but I would not consider myself an expert in any way. In the past 4 months I wrote an e-course, got a website up for it and got it submitted to Clickbank. Of course I've been really naive in thinking that once it would be approved by Clickbank and in the marketplace, sales would start coming in all on their own

I quickly realized this is not the case and that there are lots of additional options and things to do to actually reach affiliates through Clickbank.

So I'm reaching out today to see if anyone can point me in the right direction. I feel a bit overwhelmed and not really sure how to deal with this new mountain I just came across.

You can either work on promoting your product yourself - and gradually affiliates will join if it's doing well.

Or you can go out and look exclusively for affiliates. Build a good affiliate support system and help them help you.

Or, you can do a combination of both.

I think you need to look for affiliates.

Look for websites in your niche that are promoting other related products and get in touch with the owner, offer them a free review copy, or strike up some kind of deal if they'll promote your product to their list.

Find affiliates you can use jvnotifypro for this and start promoting it. Have you testes the product and are certain that it converts? If the answer is yes it's just as simple as promoting it to your list, and getting other affiliates onboard to promote your product.

      Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for all your comments. So it's clear that my main focus now must be to connect with potential affiliates in my niche.

I've also gone through a number of books about product launches, including Jeff Walker's recent Launch book. But I haven't applied it to my e-course yet. I have a very small list of about 500 subscribers, I'm currently getting everything ready to do a test with that list first using Jeff's formula to see how the product converts.

Thanks for the jvnotifypro info as well. I'm starting to see the trees through the forest.

Go and reach out to the affiliates and offer them something in exchange so that they will agree to promote your product..

Based on my experience you can give them 70% - 75% as commissions to entice them for promoting your product..

    - Promote it -
    - Solo Ads, Pay-per-click, Banner Ads, WSO, Facebook Ads, Magazine ads, Newspaper Ads, Post Cards, etc. etc. BUT - Track everything (Click through rates, EPC's, etc) and set limits on your ads until you make more than the ad costs - i.e. PAID ADVERTISING

    - Ad swaps with others in your space, Article Writing with a link, Forum posts including a link, SEO, etc. etc. - i.e. ORGANIC TRAFFIC

    - Do a launch, JVNotifyPro, Find Affiliates, etc. (BUT- you must provide the tools they need like graphics, email swipes, etc.) - i.e. AFFILIATE TRAFFIC

    Best of Luck

        Yep, thanks for the overview.

I did realize that it would not be easy as 1, 2, 3 but after spending a lot of time writing a product and finally getting it ready, just a spark of traction would have been great, just to give me that extra push. In any case, I've found this forum and got the same (if not better) extra push thanks to all the good tips and advice I received here so now it's off to the marketing drawing boards getting ready for phase 2

You can either promote your product yourself or find affiliates.

Finding affiliates and joint venturing with them will get you the most sales in the shortest amount of time. Think of Clickbank like a WSO launch. The more QUALITY affiliates you have launching, the more successful you will be.
