Blue Screen Video Shoots

Hi Guys, does anyone know of a piece of software that will create a blue/green screen ''backdrop'' on a video as you shoot it or add one to an existing video?

Dropping a background into a video requires that it has transparency. Making parts of your video transparent (called keying) typically requires you to shoot the video with an actual blue or green screen.

So my unhelpful answer to you is to shoot with a green screen, key out the green, and then drop in a green or blue background.

I guess you could use a garbage mask or something on Adobe Premiere, but it's not going to look good unless you spend a ton of time masking stuff out frame-by-frame.

If you provide more info on what exactly you're trying to accomplish, maybe we can be more helpful.

You need to record the video using a green screen or green background (or any solid color).

After you shoot the video, you can add any background you want using Sony's Vegas Studio. The cheapest version (about $50. Also free trial.) will handle green screen/alpha channels.

If you are going down this route get onto some film making websites and forums and learn about keying. You can use any colour backdrop just make sure no one on screen is wearing the same colour. Effective keying is also down to having the correct lighting.

What are you trying to achieve?

If you have a video already you can use a program like after effects to achieve the result you are aftrr but its a steep learning curve and not cheap.

    Hope this helps
