How To Legally Open A PayPal Account In A DIFFERENT Country ?

Hey Warriors.

Here is the thing.

Since I am from INDIA, I am not able to use JVZoo/WarriorPlus due to Indian PayPal restrictions which means no self hosted launches unless I partner with someone (50% cut in profits). A fully functional paypal account could easily take my business to a whole new level.

So how do i create a legal paypal account in a different country? An offshore business? Do you have any practical experience with this? Can you recommend a service?

I want the account to be PERFECTLY LEGAL. My Launches pulls in around 2k - 5k in a short time so I need to be able to get my account back incase it gets blocked.

And NO, i don't want to withdraw the money to a bank account. I will be forwarding it to my personal indian paypal account and then I will withdraw it to local bank.

Any tips/guidance is appreciated.

Have an awesome day,
Sam.

You might be able to do it perfectly legally by incorporating in a foreign country and opening a bank account there for the company, but my guess is that it's going to be slow and very expensive, even if you can. And it's certainly going to need well-informed legal advice, and this forum isn't the place to ask for (or to take) that.

Here's the thing, with PayPal: in order to minimize the chances of suddenly getting the account closed/frozen at some future point for non-compliance with their own sometimes-idiosyncratic and effectively unappealable interpretations of their own terms of service, the only safe way to do business with them is totally above board and openly, so I suspect you may have nothing to lose by asking them openly. (It will perhaps need a well and carefully written inquiry email, though, for them to take it seriously.) The one thing you don't want to happen is to conceal things from them, and then for them one day suddenly to decide that "the whole thing was just a contrivance to circumvent their terms of service", because that would possibly be just like a red rag to a bull.

If you can do it all "correctly", that's one thing: but don't get yourself into a position in which you have a working PayPal account but have to log into it using a proxy server in another country and fooling them about the fact that the account is effectively owned and operated by someone in a country where they don't offer that kind of account. That can only be short-sighted, I think. Probably.

I had a lot of experience with PP shutting down accounts and I neded up purchasing new ones however you have to be very diligent to stay under their radar and take precautions.

IMHO that's exactly what you need to avoid. I think you should be careful to stay above their radar (i.e. "out in the open"), and direct in your dealings with them. Otherwise it's too dangerous.

This can be done. But you need to be very careful in dealing with agents.

You may incorporate an Offshore Company in a foreign country, open a Business Bank Account there and sign up for PayPal account with the details.

It is perfectly legal as long as you give correct details to PayPal.

    Thanks

Thanks for the super fast response guys.

@DreamTFK - I am not interested in purchasing PayPal accounts. I could get one for way less than 50 bucks but after a good launch, it would be limited for SURE. And I don't want to stay under their radar, Why should I? I am not breaching any TOS.

@Alexa - Thanks for the detailed inputs. The best way to get in touch with them is via Twitter (@AskPayPal) - I will contact them asap.

" that's one thing: but don't get yourself into a position in which you have a working PayPal account" - Solid point. I won't have to if I do things the right way .

@E-Estates - " This can be done. But you need to be very careful in dealing with agents." - That's the thing mate. I no nothing about this offshore stuff and the prices ain't cheap either. I believe it starts at around $500 and up. Will need to do some serious research.

Then why use the word legally in your subject title? As if you are considering a non-legal way?

LMAO, My English isn't very good but I really don't understand how 'Legally' means 'non-legal'.

Like I said, if i wanted to go the non-legal path, I would buy a paypal account for like 50 bucks. But I am willing to spend around 500 - 1000 just because I want to play legally.

        Sam.

You could set one up in Hong Kong very easily.

All you need is to set up a ltd company and a business bank account. Anyone can set up there (don't need to be a resident) and once you have the Business registration you can open a bank account with that.

From there you can open up a HK PayPal account.

It's a very simple process - i've done it several times, i don't live in HK though the business has a registered address there.

However - you will need to file taxes etc in HK and renew the BR each year.

If you have the funds go stay in HK for a week or two and set it all up then go home.

    More info here - http://www.investhk.gov.hk/setting-u...hong-kong.html

Actually once you have the whole thing set up you can even sponsor your own work visa into the country (though there are some financial requirements to meet to do so)

" i've done it several times" - Did you do it by your self or did you use a offshore setup service?

Maybe you should try finding alternatives to paypal instead of trying to figure out paypal.
