Gaining clients for photo illustration?

Hey,

I'm looking to sell photo illustrations like the one below.

I have advertised in buy/sell groups in my local Facebook area and want to start attracting people from elsewhere.

I have also just made a Twitter page.

What other ways can I attract people? I don't have too much knowledge on illustration as they are done by someone else so I couldn't build a list or anything.

Thanks Joe

Its simple, go to Fiverr.com and register with free account. Post 20 gigs about it with different pictures and description. Wait for sale!

Fiverr will automatically attract and advertise the traffic for you. =)

      Joe,

Are you looking to have people send you a photo of themselves and then you return the digital likeness back for a $5 gig ? Or are you just selling your new images randomly (not to the person in the photo)?

I was going to reccommend Fiverr as well because I've seen similar gigs.

BUT, what is the cost (money and time) to produce such a service? It may work on Fiverr depending on that.

    Hey,

I am receiving the photo off someone and then returning them the photo they gave me in digital form.

I am aware of Fiverr, but wanted to explore some other avenues.

I have posted in around 16 buy/sell groups on Facebook. I was also thinking about using google alerts to find blogs to comment in.

Also, I am pricing the illustrations at £9.99. That's just over 16 dollars. I am wondering what research I can do to get competitive pricing?

And do you think my strategy of using buy/sell groups is a profitable one?

    Thanks Joe
