Somebody once told me that if somebody uses your softwares and the EULA says something like this "may use personal information to provide the services you've requested, including services that display customized content and advertising. ", then you have the right to send them emails if you like.

So, I have thousands of email addresses, and I have never sent a single email to them...but that is about to change.

I want to open up an account at aweber, but they are saying that they will send a confirmation email to everybody...and people would have to click on it to opt-in, and then only those people will receive emails from me from then on.

Well...what if only few % clicks? I have never opted-in any subscription and I get hundreds of emails daily....how do they get it done then? How come nobody complains about them?

What am I missing?

    jkiley,

I would advise to take a look at IContact.com , they have a unique system, and you can import those email address's without confirming them.

    Another route:

Grab SendBlaster and link it with SendBlasterSTMP to run your own autoresponder.
