Wow... offer overload!

Just received 5 or 6 e-mails this morning all promoting the same YouTube offer! Does that indicate it is a great affiliate offer or that the product creator has gone to great lengths to recruit a lot of affiliates? I don't know much about the inner workings of launching a product yet.

I'm guessing that the course's creator probably pays high affiliate commissions plus he's friends with a lot of different affiliates...

When you join the Forum and begin "putting yourself out there," the offers from other Internet marketers will increase and begin to clog your inbox - at least that was my experience.

You should assume nothing from a heavily promoted email offer, other than it is being promoted to you heavily.

It does not mean it's a quality product, a great affiliate offer, or anything else.

Some of the most heavily promoted offers I've seen came to me by way of spam - not something you want to be associated with your name.

It might be, but that's not necessarily true. It can just be that the marketer recruited a lot of affiliates. It can also be just a coincidence and that there aren't actually that many people promoting it.

Without more details, we can't tell.

You should also check the people promoting whether they are just affiliates or not

All it means is that you are on 5-6 lists of people promoting the offer. Doesn't mean that the offer itself is any good to either buyers or affiliates, or that the seller has more than 5-6 affiliates.

By all means I did not assume it was a good offer and figured just a lot of affiliates jumping on it or the product maker just did a lot of recruiting and offers good commissions.

Kind of off topic but instead of starting a new thread I figured I would ask here while on the subject of e-mailing out to a a list. NEARLY ALL of the IM/MMO lists I am on use the same text only e-mails. There are a few that use some sort of a header or logo or at least a little bit of color in the e-mail which I think looks so much better and kind of brands you.

Is there a reason so many of the e-mails are just plain text or are they just lazy? Does HTML trigger e-mails to go to the spam box perhaps?

I think most marketers use plain text email because it's faster and easier to put together, and it's also easier for the prospect to read. It may also play a role with spam filters too, but that's up for debate. It something to split-test to see which one influences more click-throughs.

Most people on a list in the IM niche really just want you to get to the point. I don't mind if it's plain text or html...I just care about the info.

Sending only HTML trips a lot of spam filters. Sending both an HTML version and a plain text version fares no worse than just plain text, from what I see.

Sending plain text might be laziness on some senders' part, but it also pretty much ensures that your messages are readable on pretty much any email reader with any security settings.

When I get several emails about the same product/service, I can usually tell they're affiliates who have been heavily recruited. I don't for a second believe that the reason I've received multiple offers is because the product is so great.

(I mean the product MAY be, but that's not the reason my inbox is flooded.)
