I Want an Avatar but I Don't Know How!

INTERNET MARKETING

I've got pic's of myself, scary as they are, on my 'puter.

I'm thinking that it has to be 80X80 something. I'm assuming that's pixels.

The smallest pic I have is 12.4kb and 320x240 in my Vista picture gallery and even if I crop it, it won't be THAT small. I'm graphically challenged and only have the most basic of image manipulation stuff.

I really want to start using my name and pic in case I ever want to 'brand' something, but I honestly don't know how to upload my picture...

Anybody?

Steve

Steve, I'll make it into an Avatar for you if you like. Put it up online somewhere if you can and let me know where it is. I'll download and photoshop it. It will only take a minute.

If you can't put it online let me know and I'll PM my email address to you.
- Thanks

Hi Steve!

Here you go:

1. Click on User CP - upper left - choose edit your details.
2. Find Edit Avatar on the left hand menu, click that
3. Choose Use Custom Avatar - scroll down a little
4. Click the browse button, choose your photo
5. Hit Save Changes

That should do it!

HTH,
Cary

Cary,

Will that resize it? Will the size I've got work?

Or do I need to take John up on his offer?

Steve

  Hi Steve!

I can't remember if it auto-resized mine or not. You can give it a try, and if it doesn't work, I'd take John up on his offer and then you can just upload it right away.

I bought a program called viewprint pro many many years ago and have used it since.
Just google it. It may be free now, I can't remember, but its what I use to resize pics or change file types.

  Thanks

Someone gave a heads up about this site the other day...

  Create Avatar

It works good, just change the "200" to "80" to get the right size for this forum
