Brought too much WSO and dont know which to focus

I have brought a lot of wso in the past. Some I had tested and a lot are in the half way of processing. But I really want to focus one and move on. But I feel if I left it there, it will be a waste. Besides, I have a lot of unuse domain due to some of the half process project.

Any suggestion or wise advise?

To earn money online, you need to stop buying things and start selling something.

Alexa couldn't be more right. However, you need to decide what you're going to sell. After going through all those WSOs, what skills have you learned and what expertise have you gained? What are you really good at? What area are you most interested in?

Decide on a goal and how you're going to reach it. Be specific. For instance, if you're good at blogging and you want to monetize your blog by selling affiliate products, you could say, "My goal is to earn at least $3,000 per month through affiliate marketing. I will promote affiliate offers through blogging." Then, sift through all the courses and infoproducts that you purchased and keep only those that are aligned with your goal and how you intend to achieve it. Discard everything else or put them away if you don't have the heart to delete them.

    Alice,

I'm hoping you'll find this answer a helpful one.

Most newcomers to the industry suffer from the same problem as you: they're inundated with ideas (either from purchasing them or learning for free) and they start projects and when those projects don't pay off immediately, or when they discover something they think is better, they move on to the next project, and so on goes the non-moneymaking Merry-Go-Round. It's common, so don't feel bad.

On a positive note: you're taking action. Superb!

So few people ever take action and throw themselves into projects.

Now here's what you should do.

Take a look at the methods you have. Cross-reference those methods with what people are talking about online. In other words: let's say you bought a WSO about how to make money from Pinterest. Head over to Google and do some searches like this site:forumname.com pinterest method or site:forumname.com pinterest. When you do this, you can begin to research deeper into the method. Does it indeed work or not? is the first question. If it does, if others are earning from it, then research deeper still. Take notes. Jot down systems and tips and tricks and inner-methods.

You'll soon have established a method with strong potential.

Now run with that method and don't quit until you make money with it. When you DO make money, scale up. In other words: double your efforts, then double those, and so on until you get to a point where you may want to outsource or purchase software to automate the tasks. After you do this, you repeat the process, all of it, with another method.

Pretty soon, you'll have half a dozen working methods. Then a dozen. And so on.

Don't try to do too much. It's the reason I failed before, I was too scattered and had too many options and wanted to do everything.. and the result was, of course, counterproductive.

The moment my failures turned to success was when I said "F*** everything!" and picked one thing and went all-in. You have to do that to get results, pick one thing which you find suits you the most. IM is huge and there's lots of ways to make money - be an amazon affiliate, be an infopreneur, sell services, become a media buyer and promote CPA offers, you name it. Your goal for now should be..to pick the best course on whatever you choose, read blog posts on it, and understand fully whatever you choose to go with.

But no, you're not stopping there..that's not enough! You've got to MAKE A PLAN. Build a strategy plan, which you will be able to once you've got your hands on good course on whichever method you're going with. Build a strategy plan and I strongly advise you GET A CALENDAR software. I use Smart Diary, but you can use Google Calendar. Using a calendar boosted my productivity IMMENSELY. Then, execute that plan, and you're set. It will take time, it is not easy. No matter how much of a great course you get, you WILL screw up every now and then. And that's okay, you've got to go on, learn from them and FIX them.

Good luck! I wish you the best.

The only time you will make any significant amount of money online is when you stop focusing on too many products at once and start taking action on just one method.

Think about what you want to do, what interests you the most, then focus on that one method only. It has to be something that interests you, im guessing you have not found it yet, thats why you are buying too many WSO's.

One of the biggest problems that new marketeers face is avoiding the traps that so many fall into and one of those is half baked products that are sold to unsuspecting but well meaning buyers.

It is easy for sellers to blame the buyer if their products do not produce the results that they claim and often hype out of proportion to reality.

You see of lot of this "buyers do not take action"

That is true however its not the entire truthful story.

More than often a product is just halfway there, meaning that if you have some projects that are half way there it might not be your fault.

When I look at a WSO I am looking for a weakness and usually I find it.

The number one weakness I find on most WSO sales is a lack of documentation.

They tell you they made money but they do not show you how they are "Still" making money with this or that WSO.

Look for the incomplete WSO, a product that offers only a cloud solution or online only is a bad deal and you should avoid it like the plague.

About half of all WSO products that do not provide a self hosted solution go out of business in less than six months.

    Why is that?

Shelf life, simply put they create a product and over a short period of time they abandon it and the reason for that is they no longer are making enough money to support the service.

There are exceptions but they are often few and far between.

The problem with some of these WSO sellers is they are not concerned with your success they are mostly concerned with their success.

That is a big problem for you.

When a seller is interested in making money at the expense of the buyer it usually turns out badly for both.

The best advice for new marketers is to provide superior service, a great product that empowers the buyer to become successful, granted its not always possible if the buyer is not properly motivated, however if you can create a product that provides a workable solution then your success and the success rate of the buyers will be greater and that is something you can become successful with long term.

Thanks Tim, some great advice there.

Also, pick something you are interested in, it will make it so much easier to get into it. Create something of value that fits in your niche, give back to the community. If you can show you are giving value to your customers they will not only buy from you, but keep buying from you. This is also the importance of a list ! You must build a list.

Thank you for asking this. I am in the same situation as you are. In fact, I have bookmarked about 15 to 20 products and WSOs to buy when I get my pay check. Not all, buy a few at a time. Imagine being on the list of more than ten Internet Marketers. I get those "early bird" emails almost every hour. About 2 weeks ago when Video Jacker was launched, guess what happened: 7 unread mails all promoting the same product. In such a situation, you will be wondering whose link to click. For me, the person offering the most exciting bonuses. Yes. I have so many online accounts (ecover design, landing page design, video production, etc) as bonuses. But lately, I have decided to use the products I already have to create one-of-a-kind gigs on Fiverr. Thank to everyone for nice suggestions. FOCUS is the key.

if you want to be successful and make it through the trying times we all encounter along the way (without developing an ulcer or nervous breakdown), part of the secret is to learn how to transcend whatever mistakes, failures and challenges you'll inevitably experience.

Once you find something that works, stick with it. You can also test new things at the same time, but don't ever stop doing something that works, especially if you’re already experiencing some level of success in your current business.

Over time, the compounded effect of your experience will give you the results you're looking for.

    Find your "WHY".

Decide on a deadline with specific numbers attached to it (hours worked per day, monthly income, net worth, business value, etc.)

Write these things down, blow it up, post it somewhere so you see it every morning.

Wheni did this, it helped me like nothing else to stay focused on one method until I started really banking.

Some great advice everyone is giving.

Like everyone is pretty much saying.. focus on one plan and one system before implementing anything else.

Maybe there is one of the member saying, I just havnt found one yet. Or some of the method had already pass its life shelf.

In a nutshell, I will begin with the one I love. If not, I will keep searching the one which suitable me. Choose one method and stay consistent on them. While other project, I will ON HOLD on it.

Thanks again for your advise. It is very meaningful to me.

    Sounds like shiny object syndrome.

I am sure a lot of us have gone through that and learned that we need to focus on what we need to build our business NOW and what products will contribute to the type of lifestyle, interests etc we wish to have.

Focus on what product or service you wish to offer, what the steps are to get there and if the product does not fit ignore it or leave it for later when you may need it.

Having too many products to get to leads to analysis paralysis and less "just do it".

I've seen several versions of the same question being asked over the
years on the WF. Truth be told, when you are new you need to
spread your net wide before you can narrow on what you really
    want to do.

Just think about your education, in the lower grades and high school you were
taught a lot of subjects and as you head towards college you specialize later
on and if you go for a terminal degree then you specialize even more. So of
necessity you will have a broader base at first and then specialize later.

So this is quite normal and nothing to panic about. I say, try as many
things as you can at first and then specialize later. In fact, the stuff you learn from
all the things you try will help in some way in your specialty later on.

This is one of the best comment I had ever received. I remember someone told me that keep trying before you find the one you love. It is like finding your soul mate, you have to go through a lot of bad relationship before you found your true love.

Maybe that make sense. Thanks Ray! I will keep trying and testing!

I agree with "Expanding" the education, but that can be done easily, and
with a lot less money spent than buying a bunch of WSO's that may, or
may not be worth the type that is printed on your screen.

As far as trying as many things as you can at first goes, I must say
that most people starting out tend to do that anyway, because they
don't know what they are doing, so they tend to do bits and pieces
of a lot of things. I don't think that deliberate spreading of one's time
and energy is a good thing, it usually only leads to disaster and frustration.

This is a pretty common barrier that almost every person who has been successful in the IM biz has had to deal with and some of them probably struggle with it even after they are successful.

Granted... new information is always a great thing. you might come up with your own unique way to to combine 2 or 3 different methods to create a more effective overall strategy.

That said, the best thing you can do is look at what you have already in front of you and weigh your options and get to work. Once you start seeing success with what you are doing, the threat of "Shiny Object Syndrome" will significantly decrease.

    Good luck

    Alice,

STOP what you are doing and start all over again.

Step 1: Learn how to market online. Make sure that you only focus on PAID ADS.

Step 2: Promote an affiliate offer that can earn you passive residual income. If that product can earn you more commissions from UPSELLS, that is better too.

Focus on the above 2 steps and you will succeed.

Don't forget to also WORK ON YOURSELF. Read and listen to motivational audio every single day.

And lastly, NEVER GIVE UP NO MATTER WHAT.

Your profile pic says "live with passion" - why not do the same with WSOs/methods? Just because someone earned a mil selling info products on nail art doesn't mean you can make bank too with the same method. You need to have some serious interest in the matter first.

So, first of all pick something that you have a passion for and can continue doing without exepcting too much in terms of results. Then stick to it, master it and repeat till you can turn it into a turnkey system. Then move on to the next WSO.

It's good to hear though that you ARE taking action. That's the most important part of all.

    Best of luck.

In my experience most new marketers are looking for that magic method, the magic bullet that will score them riches - as you've found this then results in lots of purchases.

This is completely the wrong way to go about things.

Many of those products you've bought with specific methods will probably work with the right context, the right application and some hard work.

The key is aligning the product with the context.

I advise you go back to the drawing board and start thinking about what you can provide. What are your skillsets, what can you teach people? What would you like to sell? What are you passionate about? What problems have you noticed around you that you can provide a solution to?

Find an area like that and figure out what problems people are having and find a way that you, with all of your life experience and knowledge, can help them find a solution.

Now go back to all your WSOs and pick the one that will help you help those people best. Ignore the rest.

If you've got a niche and a problem and a set of potential clients that you're trying to help everything becomes a lot clearer - because suddenly a lot of those WSOs, while they may be good, won't actually help you achieve your goal of helping those people.

I hope that helps - good luck!

Alice, as usual, Alexa and GetRichMethods both provide excellent advice.

We all suffered form 'Shiny Object Syndrome' at one time or the other. But the fact remain we do have to decide at some time to say STOP! and focus on one thing. Follow GetRichMethods' strategy and you would not go wrong.

When I started I felt overwhelmed at the amount of info that was coming out. I gather you are also feeling that way. I eventually had to unsubscribe from all the email marketers out there just so I would not 'see' a new product. :-) (Actually this strategy worked really well.)

And to really make any kind of money, produce your own products. You would be amazed at the financial rewards.

It is easy to be distracted but is important to get focused on one project and don't spread your time across a lots of differents projects.

Find one that you really like and enjoy and stick with it.

I would focus on one project at a time, If I understood you correctly you have some domains that are unused. I would pick one and start with that one. Turn it into a affiliate site, or cpa, or whatever really interest you. You might put adsense or a cpa offer on a couple of other domains, while you are building your main site. But a least get just one going and finished.

I decide that during these 3 months I will concentrate just on ONE thing (email list building right now). and no matter the results, stick to it. Like a day job. TOTALLY ignore results. Just decide you'll spend like 2 hours every single day no matter what, working on what needs to be done. As I said - like a day job. It might not be too fun, but there's a 99.99% chance you'll succeed this way.

Set a time frame (for example 3 months) and during that time frame TOTALLY IGNORE YOUR RESULTS. Thoughts like "I don't think this will work..." start crawling into your head? Smash them! Think that "I don't give a damn whether this will work or not - I decided I'll do what needs to be done for 3 months so no matter what I think, I'll just stick to it".
So far this mindset proved AMAZINGLY powerful in my experience. I suggest you do the same.

Just choose a proven system/method to follow and stick to it.

I would delete them all from your hard drive and free your mind of all the junk.

I would then focus on one business model that works and has proven itself to work over and over again.

    Selling products and creating lists.

    Alice,

I understand your problem because it happened to me. This is the main tip that changed my business and it can change yours if you apply it.

Tip: Focus on one traffic source and stick with it until you become the best.

Traffic is the most important aspect in online business and making money online.

You can have the best products and blog in the world that if you don't have traffic, you are never going to make money.

Stick with one business model that is worth your time and make it work.

Personally I only invest my time in a business that is going to make me 50K+ / month in the next years so I don't do micro niche sites or anything like that.

So my final recommendation is this one:

    1. Pick a long term profitable business model (Check out my free bootcamp training on my blog if you don't know which one to choose)

    2. Pick a traffic source and become the best at it.

    3. Teach others on what you have learned. Give massive value.

    4. Once you do this you will start seeing results.

    Cheers,
    Esteban Gomez

I have a slightly different take on the niche and focus issues.

In most all aspects of life people FIND the time to do what they really INTEND to do. The excuse that "I did not have enough time" actually means -- I did not choose to spend my time doing what you wanted me to do.

Also, the advise to "follow your dreams" is more than likely going to keep them only dreams as most of what people would choose for themselves would not make a steady and stable income without significant time, effort and luck.

Pick 2 different things to focus on -- do not put all your eggs in one basket.

Pick one that is proven to be a reliable money maker.

Pick one that is very interesting to you. (they both may interest you but pick 2
    anyway)

Spend 80% of your time on the proven money maker.

Spend 20% of your time on the one that is interesting to you.

Pick one way to market your selections and learn everything you can about that marketing method.

Do the same with traffic. Pick one method and learn everything you can.

    DECIPLINE ---

80% on one ----- 20 % on the other. Do what you INTEND to do. Do not change your plan for any reason for at least 3 months.

    TIME --

There is always enough time to do what you really want and intend to do. Find the time -- no matter what it takes -- for at least 3 months.

Keep a (very small) journal of how YOU perceive your progress. You know there is a beginning ("now" take action) and an end (3 months) to your project.

You can stay disciplined and focused for 3 months no matter what else happens.

At the end of the 3 months you will be amazed at how much doing two different projects has widened your abilities much more than 2 times the work you did.

The decisions you are now wondering about will take much more shape. The path you want to take and the things you need to learn to have success will be much more visible to you.

Do not ever (seriously) consider giving up. You can do anything for 3 months.

First - you have to be serious about changing bad habits.

Since starting this thread the OP has posted questions in several WSOs. That tells me she is still "shopping and dreaming".

First thing to do is get OUT of the WSO section and stay out of it for a while.

Ain't that the truth! And don't go back to it until you see an inkling of success from one method. Because what you'll be coming back to the wso section for is to improve or enhance the method you've chosen.

You've already had a lot of wise advice, but I would just like to add that you shouldn't feel it's a waste to leave some of your projects hanging.
It's a good thing to focus on one area, you are going in the right direction.
And the others won't disappear in the meantime.
When the first project you choose to focus on is either profitable and running smoothly, or having been thoroughly explored is deemed useless, then you pick the next project to focus on.

I feel it's almost necessary to try out various options when starting out.
The trick is to know when to stop playing around with half finished projects and concentrate on one, and it sounds like you're ready to go
I'm currently exploring these issues on my site, and my choice is to focus on one project at a time to completion. Then decide if that's the one I want to do for the rest of my life, or try another!
Hoping people will join me and we can encourage each other

I won't suggest nothing because you already have all you need; you should just take a decision.
Unfortunately (for you), no one can do it for you. So act.

Starting out, some of us tend to fall into buying stuff about MMO and it will help us have a basic idea of some of the methods to get us started. Acquiring knowledge is the easy part.

DOING and ACTING is the hardest. I echo what they all have said,

    FOCUS + RESEARCH+TWEEK+IMPLEMENT+EVALUATE+TWEEK+REPEAT

my secret of overcoming this is by asking myself everytime I want to buy "what do you want to do with this to make money online? how can it benefit your project?"
usually if you have a clear goal of what you want to do, you will know if it is what you want.

for example, I focus on creating digital assestss, if they don't help me with that, I quit.

I was lol when I read your title! Almost feel some humor in it! You answered your own question in your own question.

Internet marketing is all done the same way. Learn how it is you can make money and that will give you a better understanding.

80% of your success and anybody elses is psychological and 20% is mechanics.

You need to discipline yourself to follow just one training and succeed with it.

Create yourself a couple of goals you would like to achieve with your training

Then break your goals down into smaller steps that you are going to have to do in order to reach your goal.

After that you should break those steps down into daily plans that you are going to do. Think as these and your steps as small victories in reaching your ultimate goal.

Biggest thing is to just focus on one aspect of your training and master it and really understand what it is you are doing. Put on your email blinders and stop opening emails.

Remember, it's all done the same way. Does not matter what your opportunity or product is it is all marketed online the same way.

Learn how to market and you can sell the worst product or service out there and you can make sales but it sure won't help your long term business plan.

I don't know what you purchased on the warrior forum. A lot of the stuff on there is garbage.
I think what you need to do is some research on making money on the internet, When you find something that interest you and that you can do, the only focus on that and work very hard everyday to be successful, and stop buying stuff, there's no future in that.

My question for you is, 'What have you done so far?' How can we know how to help if we don't know what you have done already. Do you already have a product or service to sell? Are you just trying to make 'passive' income by blogging? How is it that you are attempting to make money now? If you haven't at least started in some direction, then you need to put aside the things you bought and get online to research what others have done. Simply buying more ebooks and special reports won't give you the answers. Start reading over the Warrior threads to see what others are doing rather than taking out your credit card to solve problems. If you have a service or product to sell already and were just looking for direction on how to market, start that list up. And, again rely on the discussions here as they generate lots of good answers (look for the longer answers by more well established forum veterans).

    Any suggestion or wise advise?
1] Cut back to one WSO purchase per month.
2] Write a review for every WSO you've bought so far.
3] Post them on your blog along with your experiences in using them.
4] Share your posts, build a following, put up an optin offer and build a list
5] Become an affiliate for the good products you've bought and mail your list when you've written a review

    Keep doing this.
