Unfortunately, when you go through some of the post answers they get when requesting for help, you feel for them. Many people are totally unwilling to share the real secrets to making it online.
I don’t want to follow on that path. So, I will be honest with you who is reading this post…and my other posts from now on. I will share with you my exact methods that I employ to make money online.
I will even share some of the niches am in with you. Hopefully, by doing this, I will help you get started to your big payday online.
Am also hoping that my posts will not irk the so called gurus (and please don’t call me one. I hate that name!!) because I will be exposing content that they NEVER wish to share so that they can keep selling to you half-baked ideas that will never get you to the success you seek.
Anyway, so much for the lengthy intro…let’s get down to business:
How to get started making money online:
Believe me when I say that you can get started making money online at no monetary cost at all. However, this does not mean that you will not be investing at all; you will need to put in time and effort there-in.
I will try to keep my ideas and guidance towards getting started with minimal capital but with a maximum output (read $$ in your pocket). But as we progress, I will give you ideas on how to invest in a smart way to scale up your business.
Be advised, I am not a know-it-all. Am also still learning new ways of doing things in this business and will gladly share with you what I am testing and doing.
So, how do you start making money online?
Step 1: Identifying a Niche
This is the part that gets most people stuck. You do not know what niche is best for you and where you can make lots of money at. Good news is that it doesn’t have to be a headache when you are just getting started.
You actually do not have to scratch your head trying to research and re-invent the wheel. Just go with known winners; niches that are evergreen and have some desperate buyers.
People who want to kick a certain habit, or get some fancy benefit. I will give you some good examples to start you off with:
- People who want to make money online to provide for their families (quite obvious ha!)
- Men who can’t get a girlfriend, or who cannot get laid
- Women who cannot get pregnant
- Women who want to save their relationships
- Men and women who want to get their Ex back
- Men with erection problems
- Men and women with acne issues
- Men with premature ejaculation issues
- People (diabetics) who wants to reverse diabetes
- People who want to quit smoking
- People with hemorrhoids
- People who want to gain or lose weight
- Men with boobs
- Pet issues like dog barking
- Managing anxiety
- People with sleep disorders
- Stress management
I hope you get the idea. Any of the above mentioned niches is ever green and has people who would go to any length to get a solution to their problem, including buying something that offers a solution like an information product, among others.
Step 2: List Building
I cannot stress more why this step is SO IMPORTANT! It’s your ticket to online riches. But what does it entail?
List building involves capturing emails of people who are very interested in solutions to their specific problem depending on the niche you go with from the list above. The main reason why you need to capture their email addresses is so that you can:
a) Provide them with the solution they seek
b) Keep them up-to-date with new solutions
c) Educate them with more details about their problem
You create this list so that you can engage these people who are laden with an embarrassing problem, gain their trust, and eventually, be able to offer them a solution to their problem, all while making an income for yourself – a WIN WIN situation.
To build a list, you need a squeeze page. This is the page where you capture the emails; the page where an interested person enters their email, which is then placed in your email database. You can offer a free incentive in exchange for the email address.
You also need an autoresponder. I will refer to an autoresponder as software that allows you to record the email that was placed on your squeeze page, while also allowing you to automate the response that they get when they enter their email on that squeeze page.
I recommend Aweber autoresponder for this. It has a $1 trial for 30 days but if you are on a very tight budget, you can go with MailChimp which allows you a free account for the first 2000 subscribers for free but without the autoresponder option (I can show you a way around this to get the free package and some automated messages too ).
Step 3: Monetization
It’s not enough to just have a great niche, a list and an autoresponder. You also need to know how to monetize your list. In other words, how do you make money from the people who sign up to your list?
There are so many ways to do this but I will dwell on a few key ones.
i) Affiliate Products
You can send affiliate offers related to your niche to your list. A quick search on clickbank, paydotcom, Amazon or even offervault, among many other networks will give you a list of awesome products that you can recommend to your list as an affiliate. It’s important though to ensure that you only promote offers that add value to your list and not just junk.
ii) Own Products
If you have time or a small budget, you can make your own information product like an ebook or a report and sell that to your list. I won’t go in to details of this now but it’s easy to do unlike common perception.
iii) Selling Ads
Ever heard of Solo Ads? These are email ads that are sent to people’s email inboxes. Basically, if you grow a good email list, you can offer to send emails to your list on behalf of other people in your niche at a cost. This is an awesome way of making money online.
Step 4: Traffic
Once you are ready with your set up, it’s time to drive people to your offer. You can do this in a number of ways, free or paid. Traffic can be a whole post on its own so please allow me to just mention a few methods.
My favorite free traffic platforms include Facebook, Forums, article marketing, blogging and Affiliate Traffic for own products. For paid platforms, I go with Solo Ads and Facebook.
Step 5: Scale Up!
To be honest, don’t expect to make a million bucks on day 1. Aim to make your first dollar first, then scale that up to your first $100, then $1,000 and so on. Be progressive and re-invest your earnings back in to the business. This way, you will eventually achieve your income goals.
Bottom Line: Be Disciplined and Focused!
Need I say more? Go get started.
Please, if you have any questions about anything on this post, or you need any help in any step, just hit me up. I will try to keep up with the responses on this post too so that we can help each other succeed.
To your success.
