Message Board / Forum Owners

Hi all,

I am developing a monetization product for online communities that makes money for not only the owner of the message board, forum, etc, but also it's members.

During some preliminary research I checked the adwords keyword planner for "make money forum" related keywords but they all turned up as zero traffic.

Can anyone recommend a marketing strategy to reach this demographic?

    Did you actually Google your keyword phrase? It produces a
    ton of results.

    The next thing I'd do is select better keywords.

      Agreed. The phrase "make money forum" may not specifically be searched on, but that doesn't mean that the topic you want to check into has no interest. There may not be a single keyword phrase that will prove to return the exact results you're after.

      Spend some time coming up with a profile of your perfect prospect. It may be a combination of several characteristics combined into a single person.

      Any time you innovate or create something that falls outside the "history" of the Internet, you are going to have to do your market research a little bit differently than you normally would because people are not talking about or looking for your exact subject.
