Making Money with PLR

by Carol J Smith 14 replies
I am very interested in creating niche websites using rewritten PLR ebooks. Does anyone have any ideas, as far as good websites to buy PLR from?

Also would anyone mind letting me know the steps that others use to make this type of business work. Thanks for your help.

I have a very limited amount of money, but have a lot time to make it work.

    Hi Carol,

I signed up for this a few weeks ago, and it's a terrific deal for all you get:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...-everyday.html

$14.95/month for Warriors and the sites are some of the best I've seen. I'm not affiliated in any way, by the way.

Have you tried Wordpress? If you have Fantastico on your cpanel, it's very easy to install.

There are free themes (templates) all over the place.

Once you get the hang of it, you can create niche websites very quickly.

And best of all, it's free.

Be careful when thinking about using MFA or Made For Adsense sites and content.

Usually the content or articles have been around for years, and have been indexed hundreds of times before you even get ahold of them.

Prebuilt websites, while may seem like an easy solution, have been around for a long while, and are very difficult, if not impossible to get indexed, or get any real traffic.

Probably better to use Wordpress and start from scratch as to achieve the best results long term.

          Good luck!

Hi Mark...just a couple of questions from the Ranger...I LOVE your concept, but I'm concerned about one thing right off the bat---uniqueness...does a Profit Maker member have the option to say, use JPEG headers instead of the ones supplied, so that my sites wouldn't look like the other members, and thus cause a duplicate content snafu? Secondly, I also saw the other gentleman's question about domains...could I perhaps use one main domain name, and load my purchased sites as subdomains? And finally, if I chose to use some of the articles you supply, as well as some of the gajillions I have on my hard drive, in place of the ones that are on the sites now, would that cause a problem?

Sorry I'm coming late to the game on this one. It sounds a lot like what you're looking for is what I call my Rapid Fire VRE system. It's a combination of Wordpress MU, subdomains, and some selected plugins to help with indexing and traffic.

I've got a WSO running on it right now, you can find the link in my sig.

I'd definitely recommend going with Wordpress in some shape or form just for the headstart it gives you on SEO and the ability to quickly and easily modify your site design without messing with your content.

                Good luck.

I'm not the creator of those sites (just a member), but I'll answer what I can...

The Profit Maker sites come with the PSD files and the JPG files, so you can edit the headers if you know how.

There is no reason why you couldn't load the sites as subdomains (sitename.yourdomain.com) or even directories under one domain (yourdomain.com/sitename). I chose to register a bunch of domain names and do each as a separate site, but it's all good.

You can absolutely change up the content on the site's pages. If you're worried about not getting indexed by Google and others because of duplication worries, I'd advise it. You just have to open each individual file and cut and paste. The ads and images and other structure would not be affected. He includes the CSS files for every site, so you can play around with colors and fonts and whatnot if you know how, just to make things even more unique.

Personally, I'm using 30+ of these sites to test an "article marketing only" strategy, so I don't really care if Google indexes them. As long as Google indexes the article pages at EZA and the other directories, I'm fine with it. If I was doing a more traditional thing with these sites, I'd definitely change up a lot of the content. It's still a whole lot faster than creation from scratch!
