PC Help manuals. Still a market?

I run a successful I.T support business and I've seen some of the reports that are marketed at helping out end users getting better performance out of their computers.

I maybe seeing these out of blinkered eyes, but the information seems poorly put together, too many assumptions on the knowledge of the end user and also they appear to be updated either infrequently or not at all.

Having wrote a few of these for our clients, is there still a market out there to offer them as a product?

      Ok.

If which case, I am looking for 9 people to work through and write an honest review of the documents.

The 9 will be broken down into three.

3 people to review Windows XP
3 for Windows 7 (and Vista)
      3 for Windows 8

The reviews will form part of the launch material and also website copy.

Most technical manuals of all types are frightfully complex for non techies. There's always a market for easy to understand manuals. If I were you I would definitely target popular topics like smart phones and other current gadgets.

No one can answer this question unless they are in that specific market. Try and find out. You don't need to know that what you are doing is going to work, but start out small as to minimize your losses. e.g If you market to a 1,000 people, you can calculate what you can make from marketing to 10,000 or 100,000. Instead of doing a full blown marketing campaign and possibly losing a lot. Start small and build up to the possibility of making a lot.

Try out this idea on Kindle, publishing a few shorter ebooks on a very specific PC subject. And, put some of your best tips in the first few 'preview' pages available. Just enough to give a good sample to anyone that would want to buy. Don't give it all away though as you are looking to earn money. In your sales presentation, be sure to emphasize how you are providing better explanations/clarification of the subject matter than technical manuals or even those 'how to dummy' books.

    Hi fellows.
    It's all about valuable content...
I think you can sell from every niche. You just have to implement the right strategy and have a usefull product.
Find What people need in your niche.
    Provide usefull content.
    Build good relationship...

And above all, start List Building (focus on your list if you already have)

    Good luck

List building works in any niche, not just writing books. If you're not taking time to capture the names of people visiting your page, you will forever be getting hits/traffic but no sales as most people making purchases online won't do so on their first visit anyway.

As for the 'quality content', the only way to prove your book is not the same as others is by showing an excerpt or sample.

What you might want to do is provide the first chapter of the book for free via email when they sign up to your newsletter. That way you can capture that name/email for later follow up while providing the much needed proof that your book says what they want to hear.
