Yes, I get the same thing here, we were discussing this in the programming forum recently and the ironic thing is that they were not concerned, I'm willing to bet that will change now.

I just tested it in Firefox an got the same thing. Also, when I was here earlier, my Firefox kept crashing. I used my CCleaner and tried to log back in and got a 503 error after log in.

I know the WSO sellers are going to be super upset.

It is a few people (usually new members with zero or very few posts,) who are going around commenting on a WSO, they use a small image, (looks like a smiley, but its not from the warrior forum) they tend to use these to cookie stuff, or to do some equally nasty thing, so that is why they are getting this issue, the only way to fix it is to delete any posts that contain these images, (some could be transparent and you would not even see them) There are several different ways to stop this from happening one would be to limit new users from being able to post an image or to create a more robust method of validating new accounts.

Yeah, it's not just the Google Chrome browser throwing alerts, it's also Google Search itself throwing warnings from ALL browsers. Big G has the big red flag up, no doubt about that.

This is a regular Google search done in Firefox.

        And IE...

So i was browsing WF as normally using chrome. I clicked on the WSO section and came across this.

No such warning on other sections. This doesn't necessarily mean site was infected. It could be that this URL might have been reported for all these make money online stuff. That's my guess based on experience because once my website had the same problem ONLY with one article where i spoke about affiliate marketing.

What should WF do next: Go to google webmasters.
Then if site is added already... Great. If not, add it there. Then you can request google to review the error. Thats what i did and never had problem ever again.

    Enjoy! Happy Monday!.

Considering some of the crap in the WSO section, I did not CONSENT to buying crap, so by default, maybe it is malware.

This "crap" affects and infects the reputation of The Warrior Forum.

Crappy WSO's as malware is a new and appropriate definition.

its a few newer users usually with zero or just a small number of posts, they are posting an image hosted outside of the WF, this may link to a cookie stuffer or other mal intent software, hosted probably with javascript.

Its not actually malware, but it definitely is something that needs to be corrected, there was a thread discussing this issue just a day or two ago, ironically most of the people on the thread were not worried about it,

LOL I bet they are worried about it now.

Its a sad thing really because its not regular contributing members its spammers and new users who want to play games.

First they will have to remove all posts, that have a link using an off site image, then they will need to ban users from posting images at least until they reach a certain number of posts.

Its a new world out there and one thing for sure WSO sellers are going to be seeing a down turn in sales.

Is it reporting that there is malware on the site it is complaining about?

or is it that there were links to malware on that site?

Warnings like this are not to be taken lightly. There are so many evil people in the world
today without any conscious at all. And they are growing like the weeds.
Important information can be stolen from you. You computer can be hijacked.
Something like this is absolutely no laughing matter to be taken lightly.

I agree. It's called HEEDING the warning and staying off those pages until the issue is fixed. Don't think your Avast or AVG will automatically protect you from the evils of the interwebs.

Should we all run and hide...under a rock maybe?

You have to learn to access risks on your own. This happened before and it was a small problem. Some of us have businesses to run and can't be derailed by every little glitch.

You protect yourself the best you can, and get on with it.

    Hello everyone

We have identified and fixed the problem as of a number of hours ago. Google is still updating to clear the problem from the Chrome browser / malware warning end.

    More to come

    Regards
    Matt

I'm using Chrome and am not getting any warnings. None of my virus protection software is giving any warnings either. Looks like they have the problem in check.
