Why people are buying Solo Ads?

I got one question: why people are buying Solo Ads? For example: I buy 100 Solo Ads for 50$. I get 50 % opt-in rate, t1 85% and only 1 sale (at best) for 27$. And I have 23$ loss (50$-27$=23$). So it is unprofitable to sell by this way or not? Maybe Solo Ads buyers want to build their own list to start selling Solo Ads? Or there are other things?

Do you have a strong backend in place? Meaning do you have a backend in place where you are offering higher priced products to the people who are opting in to your list?

If not, I highly encourage you to get that in place. You won't break even or even profit everytime on your frontend.

Some people break even and even profit off the FE product, but the real money is made on your backend sequence.

doesn't sound like you have a back end marketing strategy in place, and you arent buying enough clicks at at time.

You want to make sure you have a very strong backend marketing strategy and also make sure to buy at least 500-1000 clicks at a time, and buy very consistently.

I buy solo ads just about every day and have been for almost 2 years now, and I make a ton of profit with them.

You wont make a profit every time you purchase solo ads, but you will make new subscribers. If your subscribers don't purchase from you on your first day, you still have them in your email database forever. Once your list really starts to get built up, you will begin making several sales a day and tons of profit. It can take a little patience. You're off to a good start for even making half of your money back so good job. Keep going at it and never give up. You'll be off with the horses pretty soon

I very rarely lose any money on solos I buy. Most times I break even. That's really all I want to do because if I break even that means I get the leads for free. Occasionally I make a little profit, and sometimes I lose a little bit. However, overall I would say that if you have a funnel that converts well and you buy from honest sellers then solo ads are the best and most profitable way to build your list. I add anywhere from 3000-5000 leads per month from solo ads.

Make sure you buy solo ads only from BUYER LISTS. These are lists generated from the first level sales pages of order forms. These are PROVEN buyers in certain niches.

Make sure you buy only solo ads from niches related to yours.

Too many people LOSE MONEY on solo ads because they FAIL to understand this.

If you where only planning to promote the one item to them, then yes that would be a loss. But if you plan to keep promoting items to your newly built list you would need to add in all the additional sales to determine if you are making a profit or not.

Nothing wrong with spending money to make money.

    Hey !

Solo ads helps you in two ways
    Helps to build your list
and helps to recoup your investment

Let's say you bought a 40 dollars solo of 100 clicks

you get 50% optin and 2 sales

that is 50 subs and some money back to reinvest into more solo ads

Though you are building a list for free or cheap

That's one way it can be done. There are literally probably hundreds of ways to build your list. I personally use dozens of traffic methods to get subscribers on my list. Most good solo sellers are employing many traffic generation techniques to add subscribers to their lists. Remember that in order to sell solo ads you need to get good testimonials under your belt. If your solo ads don't convert, you won't be in business very long.

About what testimonials are you speaking? If someone want to start by selling Solo Ads, how he can get first testimonials? By giving free Solo Ads for first client or in other ways?

A lot of solo sellers will offer free solos in exchange for their first testimonials. I believe that's how many do it. Unless some are lucky enough to make a few sales right away and can get them that way. I don't think that happens often, however, as most buyers want to read some testimonials before ordering from a solo seller.

    Hi,

That is where your "BACK END" comes into play and makes you a
profit or allows you to break even.

And of course the FASTER your sales funnel can do this; the faster you
can re-invest into more paid traffic and build bigger lists.

    Bigger BUYERS lists too.

That is why you have your own product to sell right?

To build BUYERS lists of your own.

If you have an effective email campaign at the back end that connects with
your subscribers and sells to them effectively then the immediate sales don't
    need to count as much.

This is where you have to be prepared to be at a loss at the beginning of
your business when buying your traffic.

Whilst you TEST, TWEAK & fully OPTIMIZE your funnel from front to
    end.

Don't throw in the towel too early.

Give it time and be prepared to invest in your future.

    All the best,

    Gavin

First of all, why are you asking about selling solos when you don't even understand their purpose?

it is a good technique to add subscribers by clikingbank or other traffic sites?
No, it's a very bad technique. Buyers will want to know where you got your subscribers. PTC traffic is not "real" traffic and if you try to pass it off to solo buyers you won't be in business long.

If you are dead-set on selling solos then you should concentrate on the quality of your subscribers, not the quantity.

Solo ads can be very profitable in the long run.

You might not recoup your expenses right off, but if you have excellent follow ups in your A/R you can more than make up for this expense.

People should not be too close minded to think they ALWAYS have to break even from the git go.

      Look at the long term.

The solo business is more of a long term business plan. Granted there are times where you really make big profits with your backend sales, but you have to remember your backend isn't the whole story (Although I will admit it does help that those sales offset the cost of the solo's).

Then you have to look at the clicks you will eventually be providing to other people looking to buy traffic if you are going to be selling solo's in the future or the additional sales you will be making as you mail your own list in the future.

Either way, if that is your first attempt that isn't all that bad. Just take some time and test out some changes on your backend design. All it may take is a few small changes and you could easily increase your initial ROI to 100% or more.

Just remember to keep building a relationship with your subscribers... nothing worse then paying for people to sign up to your list only to lose them due to inactivity.

SOLOs WORK! Most IMers do not look to make a profit off the front-end activities. Their goal is to try and break even at best. If a profit is made then great.

But we use Solos to build our list. From there the sky is the limit. It truly is.

If you are looking for free solutions, check out Safelists. (free SOLOS). Traffic exchanges also provide free solutions. But truth be told, it really is not free if you place a $ value to your time.

Yeah . . . what the others said.

Fact is, you did pretty good making a FE sale and $27 up front. I would use that vendor again. Best I ever did was break even with 4 FE sales. Many vendors never deliver sales. If you never heard about this facebook group you should check it out: https://www.facebook.com/groups/salestestimonials/

I have found some very good vendors there.

Don't give up. Continue to evolve your back end to push you into profit mode. The way to look at your solo ad experience is that you got the leads for half price. Right?

Ok, sorry for questions, but why the majority prices of FE products end with 7, for example: 7$, 27$,107$ and so on?
