Certified Public Accountant Looking for ways to make money online

Hey guys,

I have recently gotten my license as a Certified Public Accountant, and I'm trying to determine if it would be feasible to attempt to sell online, either some type of product or services. I'm very new to the idea of using the web for Accounting, although I feel there is probably some good ways that it could be used to make money online. I was just curious if anyone had any thoughts/ideas on this matter. Thanks!

I don't see why not I think specialising in offering advice (Accounting ) to Internet Marketers is an idea. There is another Accountant U.S who comes on here sometimes to offer advice.

You don't say if you're UK or U.S ? I would love to get advice paid of course from a U.K one. It is a unique point of view for a Professional be Lawyer or Accountant to have a birds eye view of online income generation or Business. There is international tax questions that crop up here, a customs question came up the other day things like that and how they affect Marketers.

Hope that helps you, it's certainly worth your while learning what we do here. Others may have broader insights.

He'll be from the US, I think (that's where the term "CPA" is used - not in the UK). I'm guessing from the end of his username that he's from the University of Southern California; second choice South Carolina; but as the saying goes, I've been wrong before.

I'd think there are many ways you can make money online, Foyboyusc. All the same ones that "just anyone" can use, plus you have specialist knowledge and a professional qualification which could lend you huge credibility in all kinds of online marketing of tax/finance-related information/products/services, as either a vendor or an affiliate?

    Absolutely you can. And Congrats!

There are many options that you can take. One of which come to mind is putting together a video training course on basic accounting (in the form of 'lessons') and selling it on Udemy. Once completed and it is selling, use your momentum to do a more advanced class. You can also offer 'specialized' areas such as expense control for small to mid-sized companies. Etc. Etc.

If you wade into the accounting/finance area, whatever you do include promoting or selling as a reseller recurring cost bookkeeping software as an affiliate. If you sell enough you'll generate a great recurring income.

For example, if you offer services, promote the software to clients. Do the same on a blog and/or email newsletter.

I've developed a very healthy income stream promoting recurring cost software and it increases every month doing very little now that my funnel is I place. Businesses that buy recurring cost software tend to stick with for years because there's a cost in time and money to set it up.

You could also promote recurring cost software for for accountants and firms.

I would provide online accounting consulting regarding nexus and Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA). There is still a lot of confusion and many people unaware of the sales tax obligation for those who send in products to FBA.

It is really a passionate idea to take your profession to heights by the medium of internet. You can set up a website and then provide services to your customers by taking up the projects of accounting. Talk to them by phone or skype and make it. good luck for your business.
