Countdown timer question

Hi folks

I am trying to add a countdown timer on a page that is relative to when a user first signs up to my membership site. I want to offer a 48-hour window that they can upgrade and then expire the offer once the timer elapses.

I am building my pages with Optimize Press currently. Does anyone know how to to time-sensitive upgrades that actually enforce a time limite?

    Are you referring to a Counter like widget which shows the remaining time?

    Yes, for the most part, I want to be able to show the remaining time for a subscriber to upgrade to a higher subscription level. Most scripts are merely a countdown timer that starts new each time the page loads or they refer to a specific date and time in the future that is set.

      This is what I had, to be used with TeeSpring campaign. But since you are looking for a solution which will have custom timing for each subscriber, looks like this is something you will have to get developed.

      Ben Adkins' Timerlay software does this. Timerlay.com.

      You can either do a date-based campaign or a cookie-based campaign. Timerlay uses cookies to create expiration dates based on the first time a user visits your page.

    I just wrote a salesletter for a client selling a countdown timer script that is specific to the user's ip address. Doesn't restart every time refreshed. Remembers the computer and keeps the right time. Let me know if you want me to pm you his info.

    For my experience, social sharing or discount coupons outperform countdown timers - esp. when you're selling single product.

    Hi gang, thanks again for all the helpful responses. I ultimately ended up purchasing "Scarcity Samurai" from Noble Samurai (Same folks that make Market Samurai).

    It was a very quick and painless implementation in Wordpress and worked out nicely.

    Much appreciated on the responses people.
