Hey Warriors

Recently One Of My Affiliate Asked Me To Have My Product To Do A Review. So I Was Wondering How??

I Mean Should I Give Him The Whole Ebook Or Just The Table Of Content

Thanks: You're Opinion Matters!!

Assuming this affiliate is above board and actually wants to do a good job with the review: they're going to need the whole product.

This shouldn't be something that troubles you. Wouldn't you want your affiliate to be able to give the most complete, well informed review of the product possible? The table of contents isn't going to do that.

I generally won't promote a product if I don't get a free review. Table of contents, or any 'partial' eBook simply won't cut it.

Would you rather your affiliates to make a purchase, and then refund the product, instead of you giving them a free review copy? Because they can, and will do that.

Same applies to me , how i can promote a thing , that i have never implemented myself.

Word of mouth always work and real users can give honest review .

You must not be afraid in giving a review copy ,it will bring more value to your work

Don't brake his mind, never, because, who knows that is he one of the Gods?

Be friendly and tell him that, I get plenty of kind of daily requests and most of them are spoofs. So, suggest him that "Buy the product first, write the review and I 'll refund your money instantly after you getting started to promote my product as an Affiliate"

It all depends on the affiliate. If it is an affiliate with a proven track record that you think will make a bunch of sales then I would certainly let him/her have a review copy of the product.

If it is an affiliate with hardly any sales that you suspect might be asking just to get the product for free, then I would ask the affiliate to make a few good sales before I give them a free copy.

And if you decide to give them a review copy, you should give them the entire product and not just a table of contents. That way they can write the most accurate and complete review possible.

I'm on both sides of the fence here.

I'm an affiliate AND a product owner who USES affiliates.

As an affiliate, I ask for review copies because I only promote stuff to my list that IF know is of the highet quality. If a seller won't offer a review copy, I simply move on to one who will.

As a product owner, if an affiliate of mine wants a review copy of one of my products, I send one. It just isn't a big enough deal for me to sweat over.

This is the reason I do not give out review copies to affiliates. It allows me to weed out all of the affiliates who are not really serious about promoting my product and thus likely would have done a fairly mediocre job of promoting anyway.

The reality is 99% of your affiliates will make very few to none sales. Most will make none. The serious affiliates you want promoting are usually the ones who don't need to mess around to buy a $27 product for reviewing. They just buy it and understand it's an expense of the business they are in.

After all, how can you possibly give an honest review if you have not made the same financial commitment you will be asking your list to make. If you've spent no money to get that product then your value expectation is going to be much lower than the person who has spent $37 to buy that product.

It all comes down to the affiliate at the end of the day. Sadly most are just the type who will review and sell anything that promises to make them a few bucks.

If I want a copy of anything, I simply buy it. If it is worth it, I will promote it to my list. If it is not, I ask for a refund and move on. As a product creator myself, this is what I would request any affiliate to do. No one is in the IM game to break even. My two sense!

I get what you're saying. I usually promote products because I've bought them, used them and liked them.

I find myself saying hey I think my list would like this" so I promote it.

Barring that scenerio..... If I run accross an offer that looks good and I think my lists would benefit from it, I'll email the seller for a review copy. If it's cheap I may just buy it, if only to avoid the waiting period for them to respond.

      BUT.....

It's prudent to give affiliates who ask a review copy.

      Why?

      Because you never know......

I have huge lists and if I promote something, that product owner (and I) stand to make tens of thousands of dollars. How sorry would that product owner be if he/she missed out on that kind of coin because they got myopic in their thinking about giving away a $27 product (to me)

Hmmm. I would say go for it as a quality review could make you alot more sales & if it is a quality ebook might even keep people from just wanting a refund after reading it.

You should be begging affiliates to take review copies.

If you join my affiliate program..... you get one automatically.

There's a link in my affiliate members area where affiliates get instructions on how to get their review copies.

I have great products. I actually encourage my affiliates to get review copies and use my products.

        Why?

Because if they do that..... They're reccommending my product as opposed to promoting it. The market sees the difference and everyone makes money

My opinion is, if an affiliate can't cough up 7/17/27/77 bucks or what ever it is whats the point in having them as an affiliate? Most things now days come with a money back, no questions asked policy anyway. Seems like a lot of time wasted asking for a review copy, waiting for them to mail you it etc... It could take a couple of days in some cases, depending on time zones. I'd buy the product, if I like it, great, we are good to go, if not, refund it.

I'd say most people get caught up in this exact fear. Who cares about buying wsos anymore? Most all have money backs like you said.

If the content is crap, I'm more then refunding

When I used to ask for review copies I never expected to not work for it. I would ask the author if I sold three of his/her books may I have a review copy. Usually they sent one immediately.

Find out about your affiliate. If your judgement on the affiliate is good, just send the review copy, as most of the replies here show.

If this affiliate has a proven track record of getting affiliate sales then go ahead and give them a review copy. If you want proof just ask them for screen shots of some of their affiliate accounts.

Yes I know that these screenshots can easily be fakes but by making them jump through this simple hoop it increases the chances that they will be genuine. Think about it, it is quick and easy to take a screenshot or two and email them to the product creator so it won’t deter real affiliates. As for those simply looking to get a free copy of your ebook what’s easier, photoshopping a screenshot to make it look real or buying the ebook and than sending you a refund request.

You don’t really stand to loose anything:

    1. They’re a genuine affiliate and by giving them a copy of your ebook thy generate 100 sales for you or
    2. They are genuine but still a newbie and they might send you a couple of hundreds of untargeted traffic and you make no sales. No sales but you have made a great first impression with someone who could will make you sales with future products or
    3. You give a free copy to someone who just wanted a free copy. You either do that or you need to waste your time refunding a transaction in a day or two.
