Types of proof outside MMO/Weight Loss markets?

Hey, guys. Was thinking about types of proof ourside make money/lose weight niches.

It's always great to lead with proof in launches (Pre-launch content) or on sales pages and if in these two markets you can "show tha money" and how ripped you are then I'm just curious about self-improvement market.

For examle, what type of proof can I show on the topic of personal productivity?

P.S. "I'm an expert of expert experts" option is excluded.

The first thing that popped into my mind was case studies.

Assuming you actually have successful clients/buyers, getting them to tell their stories, with enough details to provide confidence, goes a long way. Especially if you can get them on video.

One thing Jeff Walker did in one of his launches was to do a series of short (2-3 minute) videos of PLF users he ran into at an event. The videos were not scripted - Walker asked a question and pointed his camera at the person. For me, it gave far more credibility than any collection of income screen shots, etc.

Hey, John! Thanks, yes. It makes perfect sense.
But how about a new product?

At the time, PLF was a new product.

As he later explained in his book, he did a seed launch to people already on his list. As memory serves, most of the case studies came from that small launch, which later led to the big launch everyone remembers.

You might want to pick up a copy of Jeff Walker's book (~$15) and check out the seed launch. Or even do some googling to see if the pre-launch videos for PLF are still floating around.

        (Links, anyone?)

If you are selling something that 'gets results' then it will be hard to sell i if you don't have any results to show people. So if you don't have those results, get a small test group of people to start using and implementing your product and get some case studies from them.

I know I'm not the John being mentioned (lol!) but if I may, if it is a new product by all means get people (preferrably your target market) to try it first whether free or paid (beta price) as long as you can get someone to try it.

Believe me, not only will it help you with your case studies and testimonials, you'd also be able to fix holes in your product that you never thought existed.

It wouldn't hurt. It can only make it better.

Go around asking different warriors to do a case study and send them a copy of your product. When they get results, have them send you the results.

Case studies would probably be one of the best things you can use on your Product to boost sales.

I think the real example would be your personal lifestyle. If you are wanting to make a series of books to help others then you should be walking the walk as well. So, showing examples of your day to day. How you structure your day (around what you want to accomplish vs. things you need to accomplish for others, etc.). What you're eating, your level of personal fitness (if that's important to you). Basically, just anything that revolves around your lifestyle.

If you have a "I was miserable until I..." story I think that would also help because you would have before/after material (pics of your lifestyle then vs. now). However, you don't have to have lived a hard life to benefit from personal development...so yeah, it's a tough a thing to prove. I think proof of your current lifestyle would be the best route to take.

    Good luck!

    Hi,

I believe that the best proof is yourself, as the creator of the course, or the image of the creator.

You should share your story and share proofs, like for example, if you are an expert in the self help niche, let possible partners what the course has to offer, wealth ( the creator must be wealthy, if not, how am I going to be wealthy following his advice?)
