Google Voice is going to play possibly a bigger role, as email and voice become one.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

I hope it doesn't, unless there is a drastic improvement in catching spam emails.

My Gmail does a pretty good job catching the spam.

Well, I can think of two SIMPLE things I could do to OBLITERATE spam! The only problem is it would need another client and another server and thus another port.

I can think of a way, too, but that adjunct against "cruel and unusual punishment" gets in the way...

The US Post Office missed out on making a fortune with eMail.

If the USPS had just opened an eMail service where it cost 5 cents to send an eMail then Spam would be a fond memory.

You would open an account with them, attach a credit card and charge $10 increments. You can only send eMails within the USPS and each time you do you get hit 5 cents. However, when you receive an eMail you get 2.5 cents deposited into your account.

Spam has always had such an easy solution if someone would just make a profit from it; both the person receiving it and the company hosting it.

I think it will be. You will just type a name of the person and it will be delivered

That exists NOW from the CLIENT! It is IMPOSSIBLE for it to be server based, EVER, because several people may have the same name. I have a RARE name, but I know there are at least 3 people with it in the US!

If people still even type 40 years from now, it will probably be the same way postal mail is still used. People still send letters, but they also still e-mail, text message, etc, etc.
