It Does NOT Take Money To Earn Money

For the past hour, I have dedicated my time to reading the perspectives of many of this forum's members, so that I may discover how I may be of benefit to this community.

First, allow me state how much I appreciate and respect the members of this forum for the simple fact that they are actively taking steps towards their vision.

I've read countless posts where members ask how they can make money with a tiny budget. First off, money is exchanged, it is not "made".

Second, money is a mindset. Wealthy individuals (that is determined by the individual and their belief of what wealth is) focus on what they can give in exchange for money, while "poor" individuals focus on what they can do to get money. However, this is a subject for another post.

The title of this post reads "It Does NOT Take Money To Earn Money", and I stand by this FACT 100%. A few weeks ago I was reading my daughter a biography of Steve Jobs, and his ability to communicate his vision in a way that inspired others to take action and share in his dream, was how he built Apple. There was a time early in his career where he leveraged all his money in an investment of computers, and was flat broke, but through his ability to communicate, he inspired a local tech shop to front him the money necessary to enhance these computers and sell them at a significant premium.

He did, and the rest is history. Money was not necessary. All he needed was the unique gifts he had.

Now I know some of you will scoff and point to the fact that he needed money originally to invest in the computers. And that is absolutely true. However, you are clearly missing the point, because you are choosing to.

The point is, leverage your unique skills to create your vision. It is truly that simple. As long as your focus in on receiving, you will always be telling yourself "I am lacking, which is why I need this."

When you focus on giving, you will always be telling yourself, "I have more than enough".

    I am lacking a website.

    I am lacking an autoresponder.

I am lacking (insert other necessary expenses.)

    Money was not necessary
Sure it was. Do you think his investors didn't get their money back?

Your theory is full of holes.

I think your taking it to literal, all he is saying that it takes dedication and a skill and with that you will make money. Of course we all know there will be minimal costs to start up a website but thats not the point here.

No, that is the point here. What you're saying contradicts the point of this thread.

However, the OP is right; you don't NEED money to make money. You can provide services through third party websites, but you'll have a hard time doing much else without some money.

Thanks for the debate of perspectives!

First, all you simply need is an investor and the commitment to find one. Where there is a will, there is always a way.

Second, the first $10,000, I ever made online was with $0 out of pocket. I knew my strengths at the moment, and I had a conversation with a friend of mine who was an experienced marketer. I pitched him an idea, and a week later we started an SEO company that was bankrolled by investors (not my own money, but gained through my skills of conveying value), and 3 months later I earned $10,000 in net profit. I did not spend a dime out of my pocket.

The point is that if you want to experience a specific achievement, it is absolutely possible if you are willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.

This link is to a post from 2000. The SQ1 in this form were developed in 1993 and preceded by the originals by two decades. Point being, nothing new.

However, on this PictoGrigm, the reader can clearly see your point, to get, you must give.

What often lacks with this is the What and How. This PictoGrigm gives a person some ideas.

ONE thing often exchanged is KNOWLEDGE and experience.

    SQ1.Lesson 2...the five paths..FINANCIAL Pictogrigm....

Knowledge is the bridge which keeps one from falling into the pit of despair and desperation.

So, since you are dedicating yourself to helping us, please expand upon the HOW, what and where and when of giving. OK?

Well my understanding of time is that its also money.

Time is gold as they say and even if steve jobs chose to play galaga or present his idea to angel investors when he was broke is the game changer really.

In technicality you dont need money to make money, but you do need time for an idea and to present.

He went from 0$ per hour to a million dollar an hour when he chose to take action rather than wallow in self pity.

More importantly health is wealth and if you are sick, even if you have time, you wont be able to leverage that to make income

While there are a select few methods you can use to make a small amount of money when you don't have any money at all, it's a heck of a lot easier to make money when you have cash to infuse into your business.

You state it doesn't take money to make money, but in your example you say Steve Jobs used all of his money and convinced a tech shop to invest in his business. No matter what type of business you have, at some point you're going to have to start spending money to scale it up, be it your money or money you've managed to wrangle up from investors.

Well i dont think OP is saying its not need ever but heres an example. I can open a blogspot link it to my youtube and review products and on the blogspot have affailte links. Was there any money spent???? NO can there be money made ?????YES

Then when you got your firs $100 or so you can take that and put it in the business :get a better site, pay for advertising etc. thats what i believe he is trying to say.

The battle with doing things for free is you have to trade in more time.

Anyone trying to build up anything for free you will be exchanging more time then you would if you were spending money. think about it.

Do 1000 forum post in hopes someone see your signature or pay for a banner at on the same niche forums ???? its a trade off thats why rich get richer

The thread begins with a false narrative.

The fact that Jobs had to seek other sources of investment
doesn't mean it didn't take money. It most certainly took a lot
of money. The fact that it wasn't Jobs' money doesn't mean
it didn't take money... it did.

You are right in a sense but it does require some type of initial investment ie. autoresponders, hosting, etc.

Not necessarily. Not at first, anyway, but later on having an auto-responder, your own domain, hosting, etc. makes earning more money easier.

I got started just with placing free classified ads all over the place, set up a vacation reply auto-response message on a gmail account which automatically went out to each person who responded from the free classified ads, the vacation reply response had a link to my affiliate link and I made money.

Cost me a lot of my time, but 0 dollars to get started.

Paid advertising makes things much easier though.

What about the argument that if you create an information product from your knowledge and leverage free resources to advertise, deliver it and collect payments, you would in theory be creating money with no investment other than time.

How much is your time worth? (priceless) I have to agree there will always be some type of investment.
