What Is Best Traffic Source For This Type Of Offer?

Hello,

I have a free eBook that I created in which I inform pet lovers how they can make money from home by utilizing their love of pets. Examples are: pet boarding, pet grooming, dog walking, etc.

I'm basically giving this eBook away so that I can get them on my list. I plan to email them other offers at a later date.

Having said that, in reading this forum it seems that some traffic sources are good for some types of offers and not others. I'm reading that Solo Ads are good for some offers while Facebook Ads are better for another type of offer.

I'm opening this question up to the forum.

Does anyone know what would be the best type of traffic source for something like this offer? Paid or Free. Solo Ads, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.?

Please advise... Thanks...

You should search for Facebook groups where they talk about pets. But also in this niche, connecting with other blog owners is easy, facebook pages. Connect with them and engage a relationship.

Good question. You know off the top of my head without looking I would almost have to say that pet lovers would be more directed towards a female audience. It could be close to 50/50

Either way bing ads could be a great source for you. It's aimed more towards the female base but again today with good copy writing skills... Use Bings keyword tool for their network and you should be able to find plenty of traffic to both test and scale with at under 20 cents per click. I've gotten keyword search clicks for as low as a penny with bing. Targeted traffic like that for a penny! come on now...

Set up your campaign correctly you should shoot for at least a 5% conversion rate on your campaign.

I used to get like 0.08 and very low number like that. Now if I can't find at least 2, 3 percent I move on...

It sounds like your goal is to build a list.

And there are plenty "experts" who will tell you that's a great goal.

    They are wrong.

Unless this is a hobby for you, your goal should be making money. Building a list gives you an excellent tool that you can use to accomplish this goal, but it is not an end in itself.

Just putting people on a list with no IMMEDIATE plans to monetize that list is a waste of time and money. The second they opt in to your list is when they are most likely to buy something from you. And that likelihood decrease exponentially (OK, not quite, but that's the idea.) Most of the "lifetime value" of a customer is seen within the first week. Maybe the first month, if you are really good.

So I would suggest figuring out exactly what you are going to sell them. Perhaps you could offer a done-for-you pet sitting website. Or a package of sites for the various opportunities you cover. You set up the demo sites, clone them, then sell the clones.

In that case, you would want Wordpress users who are interested in making money online and interested in pets. Then find a solo ad seller with an I.M. Wordpress list (easy to find.) When they opt in, you know they are interested in your pet-related opportunities. Your leads will be pre-qualfied (to some extent, at least. Would be even better if the solo were to a WP buyers list.) so they are more likely to buy your OTO. Plus, you also know what other types of products you can successfully promote to them, and there are plenty of great products that fit the bill.

What's important to understand here is that if this were your backend product and you targeted a pet forum, for example, you might get lots of opt-ins but likely few sales. Because people in a pet forum probably aren't Wordpress users and would be intimidated by the idea of installing a clone site. And what else are you going to sell them?

Target people who are most likely to buy whatever it is that you are selling.

I like animals and have wondered this myself. What are people really selling in this niche? Honestly seems sparce and high competition, I know someone will jump on me and say "but dog leashes and scratching posts!... etc." Most pet items are cheap and bought at some type of mega store.

Maybe be an affiliate for a vetinarian, heh. I'm sure there is an angle you just need to find it.

That's my point. And it's compounded by the fact that even if you manage to sell a dog leash, the commission is gonna be about 8 cents.

So don't target pet owners who happen to want to make money. Instead target people who want to make money who happen to be pet owners. Then you can sell them make money online or internet marketing products.
