  • Quite a good advice for those involved in affiliate marketing. It would have been great if you have had disclosed your stats

    • This is VERY good advise for all website owners, affiliate
marketers or otherwise. There's no need to see the OP's
stats, that's not the point of the post, he was showing
you how to use otherwise wasted traffic.

  • Nice idea, Definitely a great way to monetize wasted traffic.

But 25% of overall traffic is improbable unless you have a very old site or a lot of bad links.
  • Yes 25% is an assumption, like you said an older site will have more 404 page errors, but then again, depends on how good is the conversion ratio of your queeze page in capturing visitors and how good are you in monetizing those leads.

    • I'm sorry, I misinterpreted your initial post. I thought you said that the overall traffic could increase by 25% as opposed to 25% conversion.

Yep 25% conversion is possible if you have a good squeeze page.

Many a times when there are server problems or any of your old pages not working then you see the 404 page. Sometimes Google and other search engines cache your old links and visitors reach your website and they see a 404 page. They close and go away. There is a visitor lost. Now 404 pages are not only the ones, there are a few others like it. In some websites 404 pages are the most viewed ones, so why not try to make some money out of it. Put up your Squeeze page there, so you can benefit out of otherwise wasted resource.
