Creative uses for mTurk for my business/internet marketing?

Anyone here used Mechanical Turk before?

I have $7 deposited in Amazon's Mechanical Turk that I was going to use for another project but Amazon rejected it.

Now I have this money and I don't know what to do with it. What internet marketing tasks could I automate with it? What are some creative uses of Mechanical Turk you guys have used before for your campaigns or internet marketing ventures or online business?

OK, I have a weird idea for you. It will probably fail miserably, but, hey, it's only $7, right?

Maybe there's a straighter path to ROI. And one that's potentially quite scalable.

Consider the workers on mTurk. What do they all have in common? Tens of thousands of people -- every single one of them is interested in making money online.

Of course, it's hard to make much on mTurk. So what's the next logical step for a Turker? Fiverr.

And I see that you just so happen to have a Fiverr course for sale.

So how about designing a task that will function to promote your course to them? Perhaps you could have them review the sales page and complete a survey.

Start with questions that get them to express positive feelings about the product: "What was the most appealing part?" Then questions that get them to visualize themselves using the product: "If you were to implement the system described, how much money do you think you would make the first month?" And so on, leading to some kind of soft close. This would all have to be kinda covert, of course.

You could tailor the task requirements to target your audience.

And maybe some of them would buy. Only one way to find out. ;-)

    Jeff

P.S. If you do decide to try this, I think that accepting Bitcoin would likely increase your conversions substantially. It's very popular among the Turker crowd.

    That is freaking brilliant. Wow.
Thanks, I actually wasn't sure I'd get something creative like that. I will very likely try that unless I get a better suggestion.

      Hey Jeff,

I actually did. A lot of the feedback I got was actually quite interesting and believe it or not, I actually just gave my sales page and website a facelift yesterday thanks to some of the feedback from mTurk. I think it's possible I got some sales from mTurk, but I wasn't clever enough to figure out a way to track that with Google Analytics. Still, I see it as a success!

      Thanks again for that suggestion!

Microworkers could be another outsourcing resource and is actually better than mTurk in my opinion.
