Question About Refund Policy

5 replies
Hi.

If you find a digital product at JVZOO with this guarantee statement;

"This product is sold by xxxx xxxxxxxxx with 30-day money-back guarantee"

How do YOU interpret this guarantee statement?

    I would interpret it as a guarantee that I'll get my money back within 30 days if the product is defective or I'm not happy with it, but i can see where it might be open to other interpretations.

      Thanks for your answer.

      If it is open for various interpretations, who are setting the rules. The seller or the buyer?

        It depends.

        Some places that process is controlled by the seller and they have to honor your request to give a refund. Some sellers resist by asking for reasons and trying to dissuade the refunder.

        For example, a direct PayPal payment has to be voluntarily returned by the seller or you need to escalate it to a dispute with PayPal.

        Other places, like Clickbank, it is handled by the payment processor and is automatic.

        Honest answer, I'm not sure. I don't know enough about JVZOO's refund rules or the law regarding guarantees to give a definitive answer.

        I was just speaking from a broad point of view. To one person, a 30-day guarantee could mean the product is guaranteed to be free of defects, while another person could interpret it to mean it's a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

    It just means that if you are unsatisfied with the product. You have 30 days to ask for a full refund.
