If you use Authorize.net, are you having problems with it? It seems the site is down.

Anyone else seeing this or just me?

    right...auth.net is down for me too. i can't even get 'em on the phone. they must be getting inundated with calls.

    I don't remember any downtimes...did they say this was coming?...

    I have only been on authorize for about 6 months though....

    No, no word of it. I've used them for years, I don't recall them ever being down for this long or even being down at all. I'm a bit concerned. I hope it doesn't last long.

      July 3, 2009 - The entire web infrastructure for Authorize.net (main website, merchant gateway website, etc) has been unavailable for several hours. None of the over 200,000 merchants who use Authorize.net payment gateway are able to process credit cards. Authorize.net's main corporate office and their customer service are currently closed due to the July 4th holidays in the USA.

      Yes, they're down. We were just warned by our CRM - and we're hurriedly moving to a different account.

    I just had to switch one of my biggest merchants over to another gateway until we find out what went wrong. They were losing lots of money.

    Obviously something very serious for such a big player to go down.

    I called the corporate office number that I have and got a quick busy.

    Very big problem for many merchants!

      How did you get another gateway setup so fast? Who did you switch them over to? On our website Event Tickets - TicketStorm.com that is the only way people can purchase the concert tickets unless they go to the venue or outlets. We have had about 30 orders fail so far and we usually start getting our orders coming in after lunch.

    My first order that had a issue with Authorize.net was at 7:43 AM CST. It is now 10:21 AM CST and they are still down.

    How did you get another gateway setup so fast?
    We have multiple gateways we've already set up, so for us, it's a matter of swapping one out for the other.

    I can't imagine the kind of impact this is having. Authorize.net is HUGE.

    I guess I will just wait it out for now. At least I have Paypal too as an option.

    If you ping authorize.net it returns 64.94.118.77

    I called Internap Internet Network Services, Colocation, Content Delivery, Broadband and Managed Service Solutions who provides their connection and they had a fire about 7 hours ago and the facility that support authorize.net. They said they have people on site trying to get everything back and online and they expect they will have it online in less than 2 hours.

    Can you imagine how much money is lost that won't get processed through the authorize.net network?

    According to our logs here, it happened sometime between midnight and 1am PST - this is gonna really put a hurt in their business. The owner here (runs about a dozen commerce sites) is PISSED. Considering switching to a multiple payment option, where if one fails it will try the next, then the next. So, looks like more work for me customizing the backend!

    We just had someone try and purchase three minutes ago and our services are still down.

      I actually found that on Wikipedia during a quick search of what was wrong - but then it disappeared as soon as I found it.

      Anyway, we've taken care of it on our end - and all cards are going into CC pending until they're up again.
