Need Advices (Experienced Warriors)(Help)(Opinions Welcome)

Hello,

My goal is to build an online business selling men's cologne-
I am in the beginning stages, researching vendors, formulating a website, name, demographic, etc.
I am in college and taking some business and web development classes and think this would be a good project for me. I have some expendable income, not a ton, but I can manage something like this, I am tired of lurking the internet and want to become an active part and contribute something.
Before I get too far into this I thought I would turn too Warrior Forum and get some advice from some experienced members.

- What steps would YOU take in order to make a successful business.
- What are the best ways to market a product both online and offline-my target demographic is males 20-35
- What is the most important thing you've learned when starting a business
- What kinds of obstacles did you face and how did you overcome them?
- What kinds of questions should I be asking?
- Do you have any ideas that might help me along the way
- What are some common business laws that helped you the most



Please no hate, I know it might seem silly but its a start. I have a job and im going to school I just
want to do this right, and legitimate and have something I can be proud of at the end.

    I can't say that I have achieved much success in Internet Marketing, but based on my experience I can give you some advice. Stay focused. Stay motivated. Think about what need are you going to solve with your men's cologne website. Will the world become a better place if your website exists? Read Millionaire Fastlane by MJ De Marco. Read the books of the Shark Tank members. Don't be afraid if your cologne business fails - just be strong enough to stand up, learn on your mistakes of the past and start another business. Don't just lurk but take action. I hope this advice will help you along your way.

    I'll suggest you:
    -don't care about obstacles
    -don't think about failure
    -don't wait for huge knowledge...

    Just focus, always focus on your goal.
    Build a plan (because this is a real buisiness) like this one:
    -Choose a niche (you've already done)
    -create usefull content
    -Build a list
    -build trust
    -sell stuffs...

    Plenty methods you'll read really work; you just have to implement the right strategy and take action.

    And dont be deterred,

    Regarding your question, if i was the one to launch something like this, i would make sure i do my research properly,
    Know the exact age range of people who might be interested in what you have to offer.
    then look for a unique angle to launch your product from,
    The best thing you can do is to look at your competition and see what they are not doing that can help your business, do it and make it your business primary focus.

    Last but not the least, surround yourself with like minded individuals.
    or better still a partner who can compliment your weak points.
