I don't measure it according to that metric, which I don't find a helpful one, myself.

But in general, you should be aiming for a minimum of 10% conversions at Amazon (unless you're promoting 4/5-figure items, perhaps, but I don't think that's really what you're asking about, is it?).

And I'll take yet another opportunity to try to bring this fine thread to your attention: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post6608638

Then that's the problem you need to be addressing, I think? The question to ask yourself is something like "Other people are successfully building lists, to do this, so why am I not managing to do that?". (There can be multiple possible reasons, of course - I'm not pretending that it's an easy question to answer; and the answer is usually multifactorial, too, rather than being "one simple thing you can change in a minute".)

I think you should look at that as "one additional, potential way", not as "the only way".

            I hear you - there's competition.

That doesn't necessarily have to stop you from earning, though: there are still huge numbers of potential customers. "Affiliate marketing is affiliate marketing": people buy from/through people whose recommendations they trust, people who build relationships with them and earn their respect. That's just "what most of the income depends on", in affiliate marketing. I'm not saying that "good" or "bad"; but that's undeniably "how it is."

Again, sorry, but it's explained here and here. I know you'd like it to be different, but it just isn't.

that is an encouragement alexa for me....
because in the first place the niche is highly intensive and competitive...big boys already making a trust to their consumers.

Yes, I think this is very likely to help. (I try to write my outgoing emails as if I'm talking to my friends/family - I think you've put it well, there ).

You don't have to do the same things they do. You could create a niche site based on reviewing the sites, products and services of these so called big boys or updates on important events in that niche. Then BUILD A LIST! This is very important. There are many good resources in this forum on how to do that, a little search will help in finding them. My 2 cents

Before creating the content, do a little research on what people in that niche are looking for, then think of how to help them get it or how to solve problems that they encounter. It is from these solutions that you get content ideas. Try also to narrow your focus to a specific micro niche in the electronic niche

hey! Dont let anybody intimidate you!
I own a store in the Laptops niche and I still make my sales, even though a lot of people are in this niche!
My site targets long tail keywords and specific products and am ranking well for some of them and they reward me with sales...
One thing most people tend to forget is keyword optimization, target the FULL product name when creating content so that you stand a better chance of ranking hire..

Example, I could create content on "HP G42-357CL" instead of just targeting "HP G42" which could be competitive... the specific product code has narrowed it down and believe me, anyone that type the full product name in Google is actually ready to buy and just looking for someone to convince him to buy it!
