Is anyone actually making a good amount of money through the Amazon affiliate system?

I've got a gallery site with Adsense, would I be able to use this & add a product review section or would I need to make a completely new site?

Thank you.

You can absolutely add a review section!
What works best for me are text links within the posts.
Amazon doesn't pay much but if you have a lot of traffic you'll be able to make a few hundred dollars a month.
    Good luck

I was using autoblogs of about 32 which brought in some return. But I would not advice it though as Google kills them after a while. But I saw people with one site and absolutely crushing it on Amazon. You can not know unless you test it. So test.

The more specialized your Amazon site, the more you will earn. So for instance, don't just put up a technology review blog and expect to earn money as that is a huge category not niche. A better way to refine things is only mobile phones by a particular manufacturer or tablets only. And, yes you can easily add reviews for Amazon products to an Adsense friendly site.

Both Google and Amazon allow them on the same site, but it's maybe not optimal? With AdSense you get paid when people leave your site by clicking on an ad, and want a site that encourages people to leave that way. With affiliate marketing, you generally want traffic to stay as long as possible.

But affiliate marketing sales really come from building relationships with subscribers, anyway, so it perhaps wouldn't be an ideal combination? The thread above may help you ...

Yes. You can find success as an Amazon Affiliate. Product reviews with good content are the best way to go and you can use Adsense on the same sites.

Personally, I have seen success recently and in the past with Amazon sites. I have built many up to $100-$300 per month and sold them off. for a profit.

the only negative is the % commission when you first start, but when you build your site and get traffic the sales fly in on autopilot and it soon mounts up. this has been a major staple for cash in our business.

I've made a decent sum from amazon niche sites that target specific products.

The product you choose to promote matters a lot. I go for products that cost more than $100 due to low commission rates by amazon. If you go for cheap products you'll need a lot more traffic and sales.

I then build a niche review site around that product with tutorials, buying guides and product reviews, linking to amazon from inside the content.

I'm not making a good amount yet, but I've made some money on sales. I'm trying to build up as much traffic between now and Nov/Dec time as my site is a Cyber Monday deal aggregation site. After that, I think I'm going to try to set up some more focused niche sites. I'm looking forward to reading through the forum here and interacting with everyone.

Correct. Not all on one single account though, i've got a variety of accounts that add up to over 5 Million +.

I'm looking for the best way to earn money with them though, surely there's a lot of money to be made if i get it right.

I'm currently just using adsense on a gallery site.

Don't build several sites. Build one. Make it the best there is on the internet for that product / niche.

Plugins are a pile of junk. Forget them. Just use contextual links from or a simple line saying buy now or click here for the best price.

When the first site is up running and profitable move onto the next.

Or do what I did, silo the site so you make the one site bigger and more authoritative.

I haven't read googles adsense policy in a while but I don't think its a problem running another affiliate program on the same url.

If your blog is getting good, targeted steady traffic then sure.

Like you said, set up another review page...

What made you think it's impossible to make money off Amazon?
People tend to attribute failure to things simply not working for them.

Amazon is a great way to make money and there are lots of reasons why it's one of the issue.
Just like every other business models out there you need to do it appropriately otherwise you would be wasting your time.

The most important thing is picking the right product, keywords, setting up a review site, astore e.t.c and drive traffic to it via YT & Google using targeted terms.

Yes Amazon commission isnt the greatest but your promoting products that are being sold by a trustworthy brand. Thats priceless in my opinion. Now in terms of money. It depends on what your selling, prices of products and the traffic you can generate. When I was doing this I was making anything from $400 - $950 a month. I used 3 different methods to improve my brand awareness with my amazon a store. Blogging, promoting on social media using the automated software im using now and youtube.

so with that said you have to have a clear vision of where and how far you want to go with this. Will it make you rich? No but it can be a steady second source of income.

If you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

Im just going to assume that the question was directed at me.....

So when I was an Amazon Affiliate 3 months ago I knew that in order to make a decent return(commission) I would have to build my brand fast. I based my niche on a very competetive market but I knew I could make it work.

So after setting up my Astore, I decided that a daily blog would be a great way to gain a strong following. In this blog I would decide to talk about a different topic each time, all of these topics were relevent to my niche. Now to encourage egagement I would do a fan poll on what topics my followers would like me to discuss. This worked really well. Obviously I would throw in some links which would direct them back to my Astore. I try not to have more than 3 in each blog post. I also threw in some pictures that also directed users back to my Astore. The trick here was to keep it short and sweet but at the same time keep it informative. I also encourage my readers to leave feedback. I go into that in more detail if you wish....

The other method I used was a Youtube channel. Now this one I enjoyed doing because I used this to create video review of products I was advertising at my Astore. This method I would try to do atleast twice a week and once a month I would do a live hangout with my followers. This was great because it gave everyone a chance to interact with other followers and share thoughts. I would also do a 20min Q & A to end the live hangout.

My last method was using Facebook. Now this was the easiest of all the methods because it didn't really need a lot of work as the software did most of my advert posting for me. But basically all I really did was create a Fan Page with a catchy title that related to my market and on there I would post links to my blog and youtube videos. Now to help promote my page, I would share it on Facebook, my blogs, Youtube Videos, Twitter and Google+. The response was amazing. For about 1 hour a day work, my autoposter would get me 20 sales per day on a slow day and on a really good day I would around 60 sales.

It was only last month that I was told I can also make money selling the software with payment being paid instantly. So not only was I made money off my Amazon business and I was making a little fortune off the software hence why September was my best ever performance(Profit).

I'm sorry if I haven't covered it all. I'm be more than happy to answer any questions from anyone should you have any. Just want to take this time to wish everyone goodluck with there business. I hope you find the success your looking for. I know I have!!

I would say that Amazon is a hard market to make money in as the Google Update has effected alot of Amazon Affiliate promoters. However, it cans still be done. A friend of mined make about $4000 with 13 websites. So it can be done.

Amazon is a great way to monetize your site. Just add a product reviews section to your site and start reviewing products.

You can also run Adsense and I suggest you also look into Media.net Their ads performs well as well

I know better answer for this question because my main source of income is amazon. Let me explain you clearly, if you are having an amazon affiliate store make sure you have enough unique content, also dont put too much of products at the beginning because that may cause duplicate content penalty for you.

Also choose better products that converts well. You need to do your own research or look over the experts who does it. Like CPC for adsense there are certain niches that convert well for amazon affiliates.

If you need any help you can use this website service: Make Money With Amazon Affiliates | Make Money Online | Adsense | Amazon | Clickbank (I am not a affiliate with them - but they do a good job).

If you are an Amazon affiliate and want to make some good money, consider the Diet Standards program. They are also on Amazon and the product sells. There are some 525 user reviews for this product.

Diet Standards is currently looking for direct affiliates to boost their sales even further.
