Price point split testing

Hey guys,
I am about to start doing some split testing for my product, currently I have it selling at $47 with a $34 down-sell and a $17 down-sell if they decline that.

I am going to keep the down-sells at the same price.

But I am going to split test prices on the main product (Also going to be testing funnels).

I am definitely going to test $47 vs $97 to see which brings in more revenue, but would it be a good idea to test more than two prices at once?

For instance...

$47
$67
$77
$87
and
$97

What are your thoughts and if you have had any experience in price testing, what were your results (and in what niche)?

Cheers!

One of the main things I'd want to test, myself, would be whether prices ending the figure "7" are actually any good, compared with alternatives. I think it's a subject on which enormous numbers of people very consistently mislead themselves, because they all share the same beliefs - which are often totally mistaken.

We're subscription based and are actually doing price-based split testing. We currently offer a month-month billing cycle (great for users who just want to try us out) and are testing how it impacts our conversion rate when we remove that billing cycle and encourage larger up front payments at lower monthly rates.
