WSO buyers are not being added to my List (aweber)?

Has anyone else had this problem? I am making sales with my WSO and it has been integrated with aweber, however the buyers are not being added to my aweber list?
Do you know why this is happening? Its really frustrating because I dont care much for the money as i feel those buyers are way more valuable and they are not on my list.

This is just a guess, I may be incorrect but this may be due to the inherent API opt-in restriction of Aweber (and many other ARs) - I think your buyers are being asked to confirm their subscription, and obviously only a fraction would do so.

You'll have to contact them and explain your situation and tell them to enable single opt-in for subscription via API for your particular campaign (or account if possible).

Again, I'm not sure whether the platform that you're using bypasses this but it may be the case.

I actually had a very similar problem with Aweber just at the beginning, so I quickly moved on to Get Response and am being satisfied with them ever since. I don't say that Aweber is not working, but I was experiencing problems which I don't see with Get Response.
However, a lot of IMers are using Aweber so I guess that there should be a way to make Aweber work perfectly.

    Hi Naazim,

Are you using Warrior Payments integrated with aweber for your wso?

I read somewhere that aweber is forcing people to double optin in circumstances like that. I usually add a note to let people know if they dont confirm they will not receive the item. Works usually they all seem to optin

Yeah that works Claire but I've heard that Paypal frowns upon that.

Yes, you can use single opt-in with GetResponse.

They do allow single opt-in. I use GetResponse. Highly recommended, they have great autoresponders. The main difference is they have great Action-based autoresponders, like when someone buys, or clicks a link etc

Are you using warriorpayments? warriorplus? JVZoo?

I know with JVZoo; the end user has the choice to UNCHECK whether or not they want to join your list, so not all of the buyers are always added.

I had the same problem on a WSO... over a hundred sales, and only 30 new subscribers... I could see all those who didn't confirm, but I couldn't email to them.

Very disappointing. I emailed Aweber, and got what was apparently a very form-letter type of response. So I moved to Getresponse (and, in fact, just finished canceling my Aweber account)

Unless Aweber gets a little bit more friendly toward single optins on API calls, they're going to continue losing traffic to GR.

I still don't mind recommending Aweber - they have a great service there - they just don't seem friendly on this issue.
