Can I get some reviews on a web site?

Hi guys. I have a web site (Sorry its a gross subject) and I have made a little money but still struggling. A little adsense but also selling about 4 affiliate products. Having trouble getting organic traffic (web site is 2 months old) and not very good conversions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't post the link so IM me or email me and I'll send the link. It is also in my profile information.

    Hi Charlie,

Here is the link for others that wish to comment:

What Are Hemroids|Hemroids Look Like|What Causes Hemroids

Am guessing that you asked because you want the truth.

Sorry, but the website is not good!

If it doesn't look professional people either won't hang around long enough to read what you say or, if they do, won't trust what you say. If I came across a website like this in any niche I would hit the back button within about a microsecond.

Would suggest that you install Wordpress and pick good looking template. You can then focus on the content without having to worry about the appearance.

    Current site will never convert.

Really sorry but it has to be said.

Hi I agree with the other suggestions that have been made and here are a couple of my own. You have way too much information for the site. Most people are not going to click through multiple pages to get to your call to action. You have some great information. Consider offering it in a free report and collect name and email address using an autoresponder like aweber so you can build a list. Then take the most important points and create a one page squeeze page for to offer it. I think you will find that it will convert better. Make sure you have only one action you want your reader to perform, opt in, buy, comment etc.

      Hope this helps

I disagree. His pages aren't overly long and they are easy to skim. I've made far more money with multi-page tours than with anything else.

Guys thanks to all that took the time to respond. From what everyone is telling me it is abundantly clear that I suck as a web site designer. No worries I have always learned more from my mistakes than from my successes. I do not take it personally and appreciate the candor. I also realize that the web site doesn't look so hot but I do not have the tools (Yahoo Site Builder) or experience to do a more polished presentation. Right now I have limited cash so I can't really afford to buy dream weaver or other software, so what is the solution for a nube with limite cash to get a good look to the site?

I completely disagree with this. Crappy sites sell, thank God.

My review is that I would turn it into a blog, which would center the text and allow you to get your affiliate products up above the fold (in the side bar).

What a pain in the ass it must be to promote! (Sorry I could not resist the pun)

Here are a few ways to clean it up:

    1. Get a nice graphic header with a "Hero" shot (the doc is good but it's blurry, go to stockxpert.com and get a good shot for $1)

    2. Use stylized sales page template (plenty around) with all the CSS set for you for continuity (just google "sales page templates free")

    3. There is no real flow to the text and the design is sending the eyeballs all over the place. Think of it like a story, beginning, middle and end... work on that premise.

    4. From an SEO perspective make the site more expansive, have an articles section targeting the phrases you want to go after. Maybe add a blog (outsource the posting if you don't want to do it) and use these traffic funnels to promote the products you are selling.

    5. Build a newsletter, work with the traffic you do get and give them a reason to solve there problem and continue to market to them.

There are lots of ways you can acheive this. Just install a simple wordpress blog and get a free theme from anywhere online (there are some good sales page these in the WSO section occasionally) and work from there.

You really can create cookie-cutter websites with wordpress to use in any niche you want and just adapt the graphics and content to suit. Heck, you could even hire someone to set design it for you once with that in mind and then duplicate it for every promotion you want to target.

One final thing, don't take the criticism personally. These points are laid out to help you and increase your sales. You did the one thing that many people don't do, you took action and that says a lot!

Hope that helps and good luck with your promotion.

    Hey Charlie,

Man I didn't know you could order Hemorrhoid Creme from Amazon! lol

Ok here is what I would do Charlie, Like previous people mentioned here. I would create a blog out of it using Wordpress as the CMS Engine. Then I would go to DIYThemes and purchase the Thesis Theme, change the background of course and then put your information into blog posts. Use relevant keywords in the posts for SEO purposes...

If you are concerned about ranking in the search engines, I would also go ahead and created articles and submit them to major article submission services. I would say create some videos but lol that may get a little hard to do? If there is a will there is a way though. Make sure you point links back to your hemorrhoid site. I think you are looking for the throw the site up quick and get sales, but in todays market you are going to have to put forth a little more effort to get revenue from your site...

    Ouch.

First of all, your site needs to be visually soothing to the visitors that you are targeting.

The thing I remember most is the bold red text: hemroids hurt! which is the total opposite of soothing.

Next you have some links to pictures of hemorrhoids, which are not soothing at all... I wanted to click away but I stuck with it to give an honest review.

If I were looking for a cure for the roids, I would feel much more comfortable at a site that does not aggravate the problem, but soothes and provides a nice pain free solution.

No need to remind people that it hurts, focus more on feeling no pain & curing the problem.

    P.S.

Google Results 1 - 10 of about 488,000 for hemroids
Google Results 1 - 10 of about 3,050,000 for hemorrhoids

    Chaz,

I won't go into your site design it seems that you've got enough feedback in that direction but you also mentioned you had trouble getting organic traffic. Here's a free ebook from a guy with a great reputation that you might want to read "77 Ways To Get Traffic".

    I hope it helps!
