Suddenly 5000 visitors a day - how to monetize?

Hey people,
I'm driving a website which relates to iPhone 6 and I have suddenly 5000 visitors a day!

But to be honest: I'm a greenhorn concerning internet marketing. What is the best way to monetize the people? I spend a lot on server capacities so it would be great to get $200 back from this thing..

  • I would do amazon affiliate links and adsense. That should be enough to get it.
  • CPA would be a great way to monetize your site. Try applying at sites like MaxBounty & Peerfly. They have many offers related to your niche.

    Also, why not start building a list? With 5000 visitors per day you should be able to get many opt-ins that you can then market related Amazon products to.

    Also, would you mind sharing what you did to get that many visitors and where your traffic is coming from?

  • You should sell products related to the niche of your site. In this case you can promote affiliate products from Amazon, Apple, and other related affiliate programs like clickbank.com

    It is very important that you promote the right products to the type of traffic you might be getting. Learn what people click on the most and then just run with that.

    I would suggest you to try out the Apple Affiliate Program and also the Amazon Affiliate Program.

    You can be promoting iPhone 6 cases and cables for example.

    Suddenly, 5,000 big fat trout come swimming by.

    Would it perhaps be a good idea to throw a NET in the water and capture as many of those delicious little creatures as possible?



    And do you think that perhaps, a "net" could be a "Squeeze Page" in this instance?

    • Six years ago I would have been inclined to say stick up up some Adsense Ads and CPA offers on the Site.

      But today I would say you can build a subscribers list with an Optin Box to the side.

      And start sending them some helpful content with some Offers that they can utilize.

  • How did you 'suddenly' get 5000 visitors a day? Definitely build a list. Focus on getting something crated for free that most would be willing to sign-up for.

    It's amazing how many people here hit a massive traffic source and it takes them by surprise and they don't have a system in place to build and monetize a list.

  • Forget monetizing them. If I knew a way of "suddenly" getting 5,000 visitors a day I would write a PDF report describing your amazing SEO/traffic method and sell it. There's an income right there!

    5,000 visits a day should earn you a nice $100+ per day.

  • I would lay back for a second before diving in and I would follow this plan:

    1. You need to recognize who these people are.
    2. You need to figure what they might buy the most.
    3. I woods put adSense, Clickbank offers( you need to find specific products ) -- just to test...
    4. Wait a few days and compare which on does better.
    5. Go with the winner.

  • Thanks guys for all your suggestions. I applied today for adsense and have a look how this goes.

    I already have collected 3500 email addresses in the last week but I'm not sure if I want to burn them by sending newsletter like ads.

    Yesterday I had 8.983 unique visitors and I was able to send 137 to my current ebay partner program. Maybe I do better with Google AdSense? To me it looks like I'm not able to define the kind of ads shown to my visitors. AdSense only allows to block certain categories but you're not able to define which kind of ads you want to show, right?

    • Start with a standard AdSense setup. Give it a week or two to collect information on your readers. Then after the second week, analyse the stats Adsense provides on the type of ads your readers click on and start narrowing down the field to the one which pay off the most and those who your readers click.

  • Apple iTunes affiliation program, then search for any Apps that have a Desktop part with affiliation program. Also check for CPA networks, and amazon product like accessories.
    Also with this traffic you should consider to develop your own Apps and monetize with advertising in them, and share them either in the app store and on your website.
  • Affiliate offers on the website AND place an Opt-In form and start building a list from this which you can send related offers to time after time.
