Is t5his good enough to sell? Your critique is welcomed

I've been trying to decide what to do in the offline world and since I really enjoy making video slideshows, I thought I'd ask for your critique (and avise).

I'm going to show you one that I did for a teahouse. Took the photos with my digital camera, edited them and used Photo Story 3, a free Microsoft software.

The slides that has the opening hours, etc. was made using Microsoft Publisher in jpg. format. The music was created in Photo Story 3.

I've uploaded it to Youtube too. What's your thoughts? Is this good enough to sell or how can I improve?

Thanks for your input.

    You're golden...

But slow it down where you have the text images. You can't read them, they go by too fast.

Make them have the same time exposure as the last frame.

    Not a bad start...

Thank you Glenn, will do . What about pricing it?

I read a thread somewhere else where this guy from Oregon made a video slide show with only 4 photos of a restaurant and charged them $500, putting it on Youtube.

That, to me, is a rip-off. I was thinking more in line of maybe $175 for 20 photos and 3 personalized Publisher slides, any thoughts?

Test it. Anything else is just someone's opinion, and your market may or may not support it.

Good idea, I will, thanks. BTW, I'm in the Los Angeles area, just an hour north.

Nice first effort.....and yeah....slow it down just a tad.....since a lot of tea drinkers might be old and half blind.

As for the marketing end of this....and I am assuming you're just starting out????

My suggestion is to pick out one or two of your favorite business hangouts, restaurants, book stores, etc etc....and just go ahead and do a video for them on your own....unsolicited.

It's a no lose deal for you.

Your favorite biz might be flattered and impressed enough with your video--- to buy it on the spot.....

At the very least...you'll have a couple more completed videos to ad to your portfolio...which is important in terms of creating credibility.

            Good luck to you'se.

Coming from a purely un-video experienced point of view, I would also agree the slides are a little too fast to catch. What's more, the slides that you have as a base to sell have words that keep changing, thus when I miss one of those slides, I will really miss it instead of it popping up again as you have different words on those slides (I hope i'm not confusing you!)

              Otherwise, it seems good!

Thank you Jeff, had to actually go to w.o.r.k. and did not have time to "nurture" my thread. Yes, I will slow it down, the consensus is out, lol especially for the half-blind...! (That Vegas Vince..., sure made me laugh though).

Happy 4th, going to a BBQ, thanks again, Eva

I had one suggestion: leave the name and phone number on the last slide up for at least 10 sec so it is up and can be read before youtube gives you that selection screen to watch other videos.

If people click back to whatever site you are on, or scroll away, then at least it was your client's message will be the last part of the video they see.

Yes, I am just starting out and have decided to do 10 of them for FREE, just to get enough experience and build my self-confidence in talking to biz owners. I actually stopped by a tattoo parlor this afternoon but the guy was busy, left my card though.

              Thanks for your reply.

Too fast, especially the text slides. The rule in video production when it comes to text is that you need to leave it on-screen long enough for YOU to read it twice. Also, I'd recommend the text slides be static.
