Mailing List Strategy

Hello again fellow champions and IM'ers.

Quick question for the experts here. I have 3 websites and a mailing list of about 32K names and email addresses.

My question...should I combine website news and information from all three websites (different subjects) into a single newsletter? Or should I send multiple newsletters to the combined group of names?

What are your thoughts?

If the websites are all in the same general niche, but differ in subject matter, I would brand it as a network of sites and market it all under one roof.

I'd split the list down the middle, test both approaches, see which had better click/open/unsubscribe/conversion metrics, repeat to establish a minimal confidence interval in those metrics, then flip the test and reverse who's getting the single and who's getting the split, and if the results were reasonably in line with the first two go with that approach. If the tests weren't conclusive I'd do whichever was easier.
