ebook words per page

I found a provider I wanted to use here on WF but then found out that he only uses 200 words on a page. Does that seem shockingly low to anyone? I mean a blog post of 600 words usually fits on 1 page. Am I missing something?

Also the price is about $10 per page so comes out to about 5 cents a word

    Most writers charge by the word. It sounds like it would be to your highest good to find someone that charges that way.

    200 words is really low for a page of content. I just checked my Kindle and Createspace books which I've got set to 6" X 9" and even they have 250 to 300 words per page. He must be using a huge font and double-spacing all of the lines to make it look like more than it is...

    I have had countless people ask me how much to write an ebook of X number of pages and my first question is always - roughly how many words do they want?
    This is because I calculate all my jobs based on word count, not number of pages.

    I would agree that 200 words in a page is low. I tend to write 500 word articles on a page roughly and that is using 12 point Arial.
