Whenever i get sidetracked its normally because a friend comes round or my friend ask's if i want to go out. Not wanting to be anti-social i always say yes then come back and work late into the night.

Works well when they are at work as then i can sleep but weekends always become hectic.

    What are some of yours?
Funny..all of the things you listed are actually about doing something...

Now lets think how you can monitize that..

    1. 3000+ post on warrior forum...You're now some kind of Go To guy..
after that many post and you're still here means you are a real marketer
otherwise you should have been kicked out long ago..

why not form you own small group of newbies here and start some campaign with them..You're CREDIBLE enough..

    2. Cleaning Your desk..It's more productive to think with less clutter

    3. Buying WSO and reading..

Good! You can actually write REAL reviews about the WSO's and recommend them..ask the author if you can be an affiliate.

I'm too lazy to discuss the other 7 points..

Ha Ha! It's called Google Image Labeler... Google Image Labeler

What you do is press the Start Labeling button, someone else in the world is matched up with you and you both are presented an image. You type words to name that image and when you both hit the same word it uses that word then presents you with another one. The whole thing is timed like a game. Good for Google, I'm not too sure what I get out of it but some entertainment.

When I first got started in adult oodles ago I had hit counters on all my tgp galleries. These hit counters had a remote program so you could watch the hit counts from your desktop. It kinda looked like the odometer on a car.

I remember sitting there watching the "miles" spin on my stats meter and counting all the cash I was surely making. This lead to me going to the sponsor site to check my sales and ofcourse not seeing any which led to me refreshing the stats over and over again. No sales... back to the odometer again.

Its funny looking back on it but it was frustrating and lonesome feeling at the time.

From time to time, I still find myself exploring the non-poker forums on the Two Plus Two Forum (There's quite a few!).....Where do the guys get the creativity for some of these topics? I could swear there's some Internet Marketers hanging out on there!

Although it's a poker forum, you would be amazed by the sheer number of non-poker content....Really, anything goes over there.

It's a lot of fun and a bit addicting (More than even poker!)

My biggest distraction is the Warrior Forum......I should be writing a few articles right now!

Besides spending time in the forum, reading, learning, and being entertained, I enjoy checking ebay for dream items that I have no intentions of bidding on. I can easily get sidetracked in emails.

Reading ebooks and reports is another thing that I can get lost in. I also like to take breaks by playing Bejeweled. When I'm not on the computer I enjoy time with my husband, my family and dogs. Oh, and I love to watch movies. Now that I think about it, it's a wonder that I get anything constructive done at all! LOL

I wish I could have some of that and call it "waste time" ... no matter what time I go to sleep, I'm up 4-5 hours later and that's it --- can't sleep any more- even though I know my body needs more dozing.

Scott, the days when I get the least done are often the days when my post count goes up the most. Those are also the days that tell me I've been spending too much time in the office. When I'm on a project, it might be several days before I leave the house.

Which brings me to my favortie way to get nothing done...

I grab my little digital camera, my pocket voice recorder and a fishing rod and head to the beach or pier for a little "product research" and "product creation"...

Good question, Scott. Mine include making more coffee, checking to see if my loan has been modified (it hasn't), reading friends' Facebook profiles, looking fondly at my stack of helpful busiiness-related books but not reading them, and ordering more of the aforementioned books from Amazon so that I can gaze fondly at them and not read them, either. I am still actually working toward the goal of wasting time and getting nothing done. By the end of the summer my plan is to be in the position of outsourcing 90% of my online business to trusted, keen, honest and educated people.

Only then will I kick-back and start wasting my time.

However when I feel I have hit a brick-wall with my projects and need a break for a while, I love to sit outside in my beautful garden with a glass of wine and have a nice chat with the wife.

Haha Scott - this really made me laugh and is very honest of you!

I was going to take a course at our local college on "Beating Procrastination" but I just couldn't be bothered to go....

Seriously though it is difficult when you work from home as compared to working in an office with others. I often think I am wasting time by twittering or posting here or clearing my desk etc. But then I remember when I did work in an office how much time was wasted talking to friends about last nights TV or the football or cricket etc. Then the extended lunchtimes in the pub....

In reality I don't think we waste time but find something to fill it with. If we were so motivated to do something "useful" then we would do it. If I know I need to work to earn money to survive or pay the bills then I will do it. If the pressure isn't on then I am on twitter or here or a couple of other forums that I interact with. I don't think it is wasted time as I am building relationships and a long term benefit....sound convincing don't I?

    Cheers Keith
