What does it mean to be rich?

How do you define being rich? Many people have their own definitions.

    it is realitive ..to what the economics of the area you are in .. you can ..have just over six figure and be considered rich in one area ..while someone wil a million dollars bi=ut live where everyone has more ..would not feel rich..

    but if you go by the definition or figure the president of the USa uses..anyone who make over 200k usd a year is rich ..

    but if you go according to the clicher ..to be rich you need to be someone who is getting richer

    Great topic!

    Let me start off by saying that I've spent quite a deal of time teaching personal financial education as an insurance broker and in one of my presentation I ask people "What do you think of when I say assett?" Almost always people say MONEY!

    Similar to this when people hear RICH they will normally relate this with having a great deal of money, but I see things way differently.

    When I think about Assett, I think of Time/Health, Relationships, and then Finance whether it be liquid or not. See if we have no time or bad health leading to our imminent death then we can't make new or maintain relationships and the Money or Valuables we have are worthless. We all know once we die none of that matters.
    The reason I place more value on Relationships is because one can be completely broke, but if he/she has the right people around them they can live like a king. I'm sure you've seen a lot of rich kids out there that haven't worked a real day in their life, but they drive nice cars and spend money at every opportunity they get.

    So what does rich mean to me?
    Rich means having great health and great relationships!

    I think being rich is having enough money that you can focus on having rich experiences with out worrying about how the bills will get paid.

      I had this quote (at least the first part) come across my FB page as a graphic earlier today. I immediately reposted it and asked the question: "What does 'Living Rich' mean for you?"

      And, as has already been said, Riches does not have to even have anything to do with money! It can mean different things to many people and, again, often it has NOTHING to do with how much $$ you have.

      I spent a short period of time with a family in Mexico a few years back. They had little compared to what I had but, at the same time, they were some of the happiest people I had ever met!

      So, yeah, I would go as far as to say that they were "rich/wealthy" in their own way.

    For me the definition of rich are 3 key words that I live and apply myself by on a daily basis. Without these 3 key words there's not rich involved. It is Passion, Motivation & Perseverance. Not everyone who applies these key words will be successful, because it simply can't happen without applying those key words to your life. Passion, Motivation & Perseverance (in that exact order) is when you'll become "rich" I like to call it SUCCESS!

    Rich by definition varies from place to place but it is generally about having a networth (cash + assets minus liabilities) in the top 30% in any given place. What's rich in India may not be rich in Shanghai or Tokyo. This ofc refers to financially rich.

      First of all , I need to know that to be rich means first and foremost a mindset coz In order to attain the freedom you want, understand that creating wealth is more than just crunching numbers, saving a certain amount of money, investing, or making sound financial choices. Eighty percent of success in any endeavor, including financial success, is psychology and 20 percent is mechanics.

      And as Tony Robins said :

      "Once you cultivate a mindset that gives you the ability to appreciate
      life despite obstacles and challenges, then you can implement the formulas and strategies
      necessary to build your Money Machine, a way for you to create income for the rest of your life without having to work. Then you will have the freedom to do the things that matter to you most."

      So to understand the meaning of To Be Rich we need first to understand that no amount of money will ever make us wealthy coz if you are looking for the secret to Wealth , you will find it deep in you : The secret is GRATITUDE.
      When you realize that you alreadyhave the resources you need to bring your vision of financial freedom into reality, you look at the world differently, you make different decisions, and you do the kinds of things that actually put
      you on the path toward the wealth you desire, without fear or doubt that you'll reach your goals.
