Stop Buying Products and Start Doing

Stop Buying

I think I find that lots of people are doing when they venture online is that they keep on buying products and yet they do not take any action needed to bring them closer to succeeding online.

Every time a new product launched, they will find that the new methods seems to be easier to execute thus easier to make money, so they went off to purchase it. This cycle continues and in the end they are always looking for easier ways to succeed online and spending money to do so but results always seems faraway to them.

Remember this, there will be a time when you know you should stop buying and start doing.

Most of the people do not complete all the tasks in the products they bought and the worst case scenario, they did not take any action at all. Buying is not the solution and it is hard or even costly to buy your way into success online. If you truly want to succeed online, find a mentor or purchase their product(one of it) and take all the actions that are required to achieve results.

It is important to stop being fickle minded and change from programs to programs. Doing this means that you are wasting too much time and money. Sticking to one program and focusing all your energy into it will help you to get results faster.

Cheers,
Vincent

I was actually forced to get up and start doing rather than buying - once I maxed out both cards, I pretty much had no choice. Now when I DO get money, I don't buy information - I buy hosting. Sure, making money is easy once you get the ball rolling, but it's hardest in the beginning. "The first site is the hardest" has become my new motto. I'm still working on it (I don't expect it to make me rich either, but it will pave that road...)

Hopefully it won't require maxed cards and debt for people to get going, but whatever it takes...

    Spot on Vincent,
It is too easy to chase rainbows. I was like a dog chasing its own tail for some time.

You need to choose a direction and focus, focus, focus and then stay focused. Once you have established yourself in that niche it can then be time to build another business or head in another direction.

    Cheers

This Warrior Forum encapsulates how people think.

If you look at how many people are browsing each board, there are frequently more browsing the WSO forum than the main forum, which suggests to me that people are still clinging to the hope of finding that "silver bullet" to make them rich.

People who feel that way should buy a lottery ticket, because there is no difference.

When you take action your entire Universe moves, and everything changes.

When I started online back in 2002, all I did was buy products that promised to teach me how to make money online. Where they any good and did they help me? Not really so I know how someone new feels when they just get into the Internet Marketing world.

It can be and is very overwhelming. There are tons of ebooks and other sources of training materials that promise to teach one about internet marketing. There is a LOT of junk out there even from those well known GURUS online. Very few have decent training on how to really make it online.

All one has to do is to find a very successful leader who is doing very well online and follow them. Become like a hunter. Watch everything that they do. Sometimes you will even find a successful leader who wants to help a good amount of people for the sake of 2nd tier earning. This is what happened in my case and this was the best decision ( to join his training) ever in my internet marketing career.

Some gurus sell their ideas for a small fee but I really think that they are not sharing everything that they know of and that is sad. Sometimes you just have to figure how this internet marketing world really works and what is the best way for you to make money online.

      .
And that is why the IM product industry continues to thrive.

As Barnum said " there's a customer born every minute".

IM is really about attracting visitors to your site - everything else is just variations on the same fundamentals.

So learn PPC, learn real SEO and get on with it.

      Good post.

      Action Action and more Action.

You cannot learn to drive a car via a book, an audio book, and a little seminar. You need to actually get those wheels onto the highway.

        Exactly.

Also of course never be afraid of failure.

If you are afraid of failure you will attract failure - know only success.

If you do fail then treat it as a lesson, as experience, and then move on with the benefit of it.

In fact there is not such thing as failure - only experience.

It is great to see fellow Warriors replying to this thread. Thanks for all the replies.

Some how I wonder why is it so many know what to do but they don't do what they know? So people who are still trying to buy products instead of going through them, I hope this article will help to get you into the right mindset.

    Cheers,
    Vincent

The principles of "The Law of attraction" just fits right. If you are thinking about succeeding online and taking the right steps, success will be your Jennie. "Your wish is my command"!! Take action and get the things you want ;-)

Take action is one thing, Keep focus is another thing. Some of us might take action but normally not keep focus on what they are doing. With only 24 hours we have each day but want to do many things by our own in parallel will not to help us to keep focus to produce the quality. Outsourcing may be the right answer.

        Hi Jacksprat,

I love what you had said! It is the fact that the guys that are really making money are out there strutting their stuff instead of reading.

Thanks for starting this thread Vincent!

I am definitely one who buys things to "do later" because I can see a place where they will fit in with my overall "gameplan". Trouble is, I have so many things going on that there is a risk I won't complete any!

Very good reminder to us all!

    Cheers

As Barnum said " there's a customer born every minute".
It should be - As Barnum said " there's a sucker born every minute".

And the people that sell them all of the crap products that will do nothing for them except make them go broke should be ashame of themselves.

As a COMPLETE newbie to this Internet Marketing field, I have set myself a time-limit of one month full time to read this forum, and to conduct my own due-diligence using scam.com and other anti-scam sites to ascertain if something is a rip-off, or is not explained properly. If you have a job/study/other responsibilities, you may want to extend that time-period.

Before the GFC, I was studying Accounting part-time, and working part-time for my Accountant hubby.

If you do have a full or part time or casual job, I would suggest to manage your time to research IM to say 2 or 3 or 4 hours A DAY, there-by rationing you time. You do need to eat, sleep, do your present income-producing vehicle, study (if you are) and MAKE TIME to research this area. Also, making time for your family and friends is incredibly important! (Only the ones who are supporting you on this, the other ones are going to be negative and keep you down, and you have to limit your exposure to them, otherwise they are going to drain your energy you should be spending advancing yourself) And, neglecting the house-keeping leads to a messy and dusty abode, and piles of washing! :p

      So,
      1. Decide how long you are going to research Internet Marketing. Be realistic, but ruthless. STICK TO THIS DATE.

      2. Decide what your strenghts and weakness are. From your research, you will be able to work out what you want to do, and what your interests are. Are you interested in Blogging? Article writing? Offline-to-Online products? Selling REAL products on Ebay or Amazon? Whatever.

      3. DO SOMETHING. Decide to do something AFTER the date in point 1.

      4. Don't give up after a month and throw up your hands and scream "It's not working!" (I have read posts from other Newbies saying this :rolleyes

      5. GIVE WHAT YOU ARE DOING TIME. You are going through a process of CHANGING YOUR LIFE. Changing your life requires work. IM does not "work" at "snap of fingers".

      6. When you have learnt something new, give yourself a pat on the back and KEEP DOING WHAT YOU WERE DOING ON YOUR NEW PATH.

      7. When you have made a profit (Income less/minus Expenses) give yourself a pat on the back, celebrate!! Tell us here (as we will understand and give you a "good for you") and KEEP DOING WHAT YOU WERE DOING ON YOUR NEW PATH.

      8. Repeat Point 7. Also, take a holiday or treat yourself to something. (I have planned to buy handbags :p) This is, of course, after you are reducing/paying off your debts and then saving to buy ASSETS.

I had better get cracking, as there are quite a lot of handbags I want to buy!!

When people buy a product they are actually purchasing a dream.. a promise of riches.. so that "high" it gives them only lasts for awhile when they see it actually takes a ton of work so they move on to the next product and the cycle goes on.. that's how it is I guess..
